a list of men or companies who have stood up for us

Like so many here, I have been disheartened by the lack of support from so many famous men, those I liked and or admired are now and will forever be in my blacklist. Same for companies.
This whole experience has been so hard and I thank all the incredible women who carried on and spoke for us...
However, who are the men who were on our side? Andrew Neil? Piers Morgan? There aren't many but would love to hear some names of those who put women first...

This is all well and good but where do these men stand on equality and women’s rights in general?

I know more than a fair few men who are very staunchly against trans women in women’s sports, facilities etc….

But are fairly misogynist on many other topics.

tobee · 21/04/2025 00:12

Also, all those men who caved because of what their kids said

Come on for god's sake, stand up for what you believe in!!

JHound · 21/04/2025 00:13

Hwi · 20/04/2025 22:24

Dave Chapelle

Case in point. He is absolutely misogynistic in a lot of his “comedy”.

He just also has an issue with trans people. So his “defence” of women in this regard is purely accidental. He is the “Donald Trump” of anti-trans campaigners.

Excellent point...

I mean paitent zero is Trump, he has got a lot of support on the "I support women" after the "grab them by the pussy". It was so easy for him.

Actually thinking about it..... maybe they funded some of it, to create a division and to stop us talking about the Stormy Daniels/pussy grabbing/piece of shit.

They are in a difficult spot, because they essentially go after people in power, and then humilliate them i.e. punching up. The TG movement appears to be from grass roots perspective i.e. LGBT but really its a mens rights movement. Thats hard to tackle from a "punching up" perspective.

The fact that they haven't seem to touch the person reported to be in power i.e. JK probably indicates what side they are on.

I am not sure I buy that to be honest. I agree that their thing has always been lampooning those who have the power, Trump was an absolute gift (but lets face it, an easy and lazy target), same with Musk. But they have fought and supported really important social issues (PO scandal being the biggest), so it seems that they are too scared to say what they think or, dont actually care if women get fucked up.

Either way, I am thinking of cancelling my sub.

Yes, they have been a huge letdown, though there's always been something boys clubby and misogynistic about them. Perhaps we need another list of people who we'd have expected to speak up who didn't.

Yes they do have that "Old Boys" thing about them.

But I really thought that they would say something. I agree that we need another list.

Jordan Peterson -spoke the truth from the start and didn't back down, even though his career and reputation were at stake.

Caitlyn Jenner - stated that he is and always will be biologically male and that it wasn't fair for trans women to compete in female sports.

TwoeightTwoeightTwoOhhhh · 21/04/2025 01:26

Oh god…. We just need Lawrence Fox and we’ve filled the bingo card of men I find deplorable. And yet I’m 100% GC!

Edited

I hate to be on the same side as Piers Morgan on anything but we don’t have to agree with anyone on everything to agree on some issues. But sadly that seems to be the way of the world these days.

The same Jordan Peterson who said women wear red lipstick at work to “entice men” and wrote a series of tweets bodyshaming a model for daring to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated while being fat.

THAT Jordan Peterson?

Fair enough, I don’t even subscribe so what do I care, I just thought that their silence around JK was more telling as she is pretty easy to lampoon if you agree with the TRAs

Good old Marilyn didn't let us down. I suspected that Boy George was on our side but didn't say anything.

Boy George is extremely pro-trans and frequently attacks feminists on his twitter account and is always saying TWAW. He was lost to the cult long ago.

Softdressesandblouses · 21/04/2025 06:48

Yes, came on to add Robert Winston, who spoke common scientific sense years ago and subsequently cancelled in much of the media since.

On the basis Boy George got 15m sentence for beating and handcuffing a male escort to a radiator, I’m happier to not have him in the list even if he was rabidly GC.

Andew Doyle - gay and supported us - so not all gay people abandoned us.
Debbie Hayton - fantastic, clever.

D Hayton? Clever? Like the school guidance he wrote?

Doesn't strike me as supporting women.

Also Rishi Sunak. Not nearly as much as some on here but he did set a clear tone.

Rishi Sunak preventing self id coming into UK law when Scotland was pressurising them to do it marked a massive turning point. He did a lot
