There have been so many issues over the last few years with trans rights clashing with women’s rights… its been fascinating, in a bad way.

some that come to mind:

A man photographed breastfeeding a newborn in a bus - and being used by the BBC to represent mothers for a story

A man running a rape crisis centre while saying he’s a women and telling women users of the service to ‘reframe their trauma’

a man saying he’s a women and being appointed to head a charity for endometriosis.

Male police officers who say they are women being allowed to strip search women.

What else…

RMW popping up was hilarious.

Arse handed on plate. On MN AND the courtroom.

Happy days.

Oh yes! There were happy times amongst the madness.

RMW seemed to have no self awareness at all, and yet we were meant to be impressed? cowed? Even we, the lowly wims, knew that was an astonishingly unprofessional move.

Pretty sure that person was trolling to prove a point about how ridiculous the whole thing is

Maya Forstater & Robin (“I’ve worked hard at my transition”) Moira White being interviewed on tv. Maya’s face when Robin said he was ‘somatically female’ 🤣 & Robin’s when Maya said yes, I see Robin as a male.

There are so many amazing women to admire & thank for their advocacy over the years. Maya & Helen Joyce are the two that kept me sane; how they retained their sanity in all this madness is astonishing.

The Princess Grace hospital cancelling Teresa Steele's surgery because during pre-op assessments that included intimate swabs, a male nurse in a blonde wig entered the room and lingered there even though he had nothing to do with Teresa's care. When she asked for her care to be same-sex after the incident, the hospital cancelled her surgery and accused her of discriminating against the male intruder.

Because of the the delay, she became very unwell, developed an abscess and her recovery took a lot longer than it should have.

Yes indeed. The strong women and some men (Graham Lineham) who have risked so much.

And of course and goes without saying- Marian Calder, Trina Budge and Susan Smith who have truly brought us to the situation where reality matters despite everything that has gone before. What women they are. Their names will be etched onto history.

Just thank you.

I only ever paid into crowdfunders and bought books and fangirled over Helen Joyce, Julie Bindel and Maya Forstater at the Oxford Lit fest. I have not been brave enough to really put my neck on the line.

I really really appreciate the brave, stoic and the mighty.

I don't think anyone is claiming that a child can have two biological parents of the same sex, only two legal parents of the same sex.

Why didn't Katy Faust's dad stick around and continue to be her parent when his wife left him for a woman, I wonder? And I wonder why that's the example that springs to your mind, given the sheer number of children who are growing up without their biological father due to that father's decision to fuck off and abandon their children?

(I don't actually wonder, of course; I've seen enough of your posts on MN to know it's good old-fashioned homophobia.)

The woman (I think rape survivor) who wrote ti her hospital to ensure that only women would carry out her mammogram and her letter being used as an example of transphobia by the hospital

The Canadian teacher with the Z cup fake boobs who was supported by the director of education, who said: “The HDSB’s commitment to human rights remains rooted in our core values and commitment to each and every student and staff who identifies as a member of an underserved and underrepresented group, and our approach is informed by opinions from leading employment law firms with human rights and equity advisors,” Ennis said. He's now transitioned back to being a man, I believe. Boobs were too heavy or something. Can't post a link, because MN won't allow it.

Bowing to the pressure to call them transwomen. It’s no secret some of them are aroused by this.

If we are formless does that mean they think we don't exist? Or they don't want us to exist?

Is that Literal genocide - in the common parlance?

Just asking.

When it turned out that a man employed by the NSPCC as a fundraiser (I think) had been taking pictures of himself in the toilets at work dressed in rubber fetish gear and enjoying himself, then putting them on social media. He wasn't trans, he was gay, but he had been a fervent supporter of trans rights, IIRC, and all the usual suspects launched into a defence of this kind of behaviour on the grounds that only wizened pearl-clutching old hags would object to this kind of thing at work. Safeguarding, what's that?

We never found out what happened to the male student union officer who also posted selfies showing him having fun at work behind his desk, when unfortunately he'd forgotten to put anything on below the waist. Hmm Vociferous transactivist, trans-identifying, presumably very well connected. An extremely expensive law firm represented him and then it all went very quiet.

The rainbow-painted zebra crossings which are dangerous for people with visual impairments because neither they nor their Guide Dogs can use them safely. This didn't apparently matter because it was far more important to show solidarity with the Alphabet Gang.

Now spelling his name Jesse (they/them). Second from right, top photo might look familiar. https://www.mycomanchester.com/about-us

The amount of newspaper reports that read along the lines of

'Woman arrested for murder and sexually assault'

And guess what they're men!

HighlandCowbag · 20/04/2025 19:08

For me personally, taking a philosophy module called Feminism as a 2nd yr undergraduate. Lots of very interesting stuff. But having to say I was ill for the seminar because I could not face going in, to discuss with a bunch of well educated young people, whether or not womens rights should apply to men. And unpack the literature we had been provided with, or the lecture I had sat through that tied itself in knots to try and prove that men can be women.

Oh and also in 2nd yr having to justify why I didn't think that 'playfullness' was a legit reason to say men can be women. And being told I should say women either ironically or with scare quotes to be inclusive. The lecturer was generally confused when I said I thought transwomen should not be included in single sex spaces because where else would they go? What about the transpeople?

I learned after that, and the concerned looks he, and other students gave me that a stonewall university probably wasn't going to be the place to air my views that biological sex matters.

The USA’s wonderful Billboard Chris. I remember being open mouthed listening to the torrent of shite he faced when talking about children being given puberty blockers.

The level of ignorance & capitulation to a social contagion was horrible to see, especially on University campuses. Young people completely taken in by an ideology, screaming at him & demanding he leave. How he remained so calm I’ll never know.
