Yet more disgraceful NHS behaviour against nurses

When a nurse with years of exemplary service is disciplined by the NHS for referring to a male prisoner brought into hospital in handcuffs as ‘Mister”, despite the same prisoner having to be restrained from attacking her and calling her n**r several times, then its clear the NHS is no longer fit for purpose.

I think it's like Yvette Cooper never hearing about it on canvassing.

Because she ran away with her fingers in her ears, shouting; "La la lah! Not listening, bigot!

Kemi Badenoch's comment that no one should be punished for stating reality to pedophiles...

  1. The Tories should be making a whole lot more noise and putting a whole lot more pressure on the Labour party than they are. Actions would speak a lot louder than the occasional comment that will go down well with frustrated voters wondering wtaf. Otherwise it just looks like opportunistic noises and no actual integrity or care for women, fairness, justice, reality, that kind of stuff, that you'd think politicians might be interested in.

  2. if it's officially 'ok' to say no to having to use a pedophile's chosen pronouns, then that suggests there should be some kind of standard or chart that people should refer to in order to know whether this is someone they're compelled to participate in controlled language and submit their own values/beliefs and language to, connected to the virtue of the person who wants to control them.

Which is obviously plain silly.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 06/04/2025 16:30

It’s unbelievable. What the fuck is the hospital playing at?

SinnerBoy · 06/04/2025 16:44

She's been suspended for speaking to the press. Does anyone know if that's legally permitted, for NHS employees?

Ramblingnamechanger · 06/04/2025 16:46

I am not a Christian but in the circumstances ( needing a specific procedure for men) I would have referred to him as he. He would have still found a reason to take it out on a woman, which he will never be. I really wish some important judgements will come soon. This has got to be stopped. As far as I know the man was not named so what confidence was she breaking?

TheMovieFlopped · 06/04/2025 17:16

The world has gone fucking mad with all this bullshit! Seriously all this fucking pronoun gender shite! So a criminal can be racist but a nurse commits a far worse sin by daring to call a man a mister! Christ almighty, what planet am I living on?

Are expectant parents still permitted to say they are having a baby boy or a baby girl in this day and age?

RedToothBrush · 06/04/2025 17:24

SinnerBoy · 06/04/2025 16:44

It's legally permitted.

You can legally speak to the press at any time.

The NHS may say it's against your contract. But if you are blowing up a big scandal then they risk that backfiring on them and it risks the managers jobs. Which is probably precisely why they've suspended her, to try and protect their own jobs and intimidate others are to try and smear her

If rulings start going for reality, they are going to start looking stupid pretty quickly.

In the meantime this poor nurse has to deal with the stress and the economic worry.

RethinkingLife · 06/04/2025 17:24

Re: NHS England employees speaking in public and/or to the press.

It’s a murky area and can encompass whether employees attempted the Freedom to Speak Up route or similar.

However, this has ended in proceedings so it was always likely that this would be the trajectory. I don’t know if a defence would be possible that the trust was relying upon a successful request to have the proceedings held in private to maintain patient confidentiality.

No, I wouldn’t find it straightforward to identify the patient in question. However, I should think that others could make an informed guess based off the date, the likely prison, the offence category etc..

And they would now know something about that person’s medical history.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 06/04/2025 18:43

Forcing any woman to use the made up pronouns of a sex offender is sexual harassment.

BunfightBetty · 06/04/2025 18:47

Yet another NHS trust shitting on its female employees. Feeling so emboldened to discriminate against its female employees in service of the Great God Trans.

In what other context would a vile racist calling a black person the N-word be painted as the victim of the exchange of words?

We all know the answer on this board, don’t we? No other context other than trans, which always gets to trump everything else. And if it trumps a woman, so much the better.

I hope she gets to wipe the floor with the whole sorry cabal at the tribunal.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 06/04/2025 18:51

Perfectly put @BunfightBetty

TheMovieFlopped · 06/04/2025 18:54

Whistleblowers in NHS are treated worse than criminals. Daring to whistleblow is a black mark against their name and it ultimately buggers up their careers. They get treated worse than racist paedophiles by soft touch Britain.

No wonder the NHS is short on nursing staff. Who in their right mind would want to put up with this. Nah!

Well1mBack · 06/04/2025 20:14

I actually cant believe what I'm reading

Peregrina · 06/04/2025 20:34

I actually cant believe what I'm reading

I thought that at first but now following the threads here and following the tribunal cases, I find it's all too common.

The only good thing is that daylight is being shed on the issues now. I imagine that at first most people thought Transwomen were unhappy individuals who had surgery and then wanted to live quietly.

Now we increasing find that people, mostly women, are hounded out of jobs, suspended from jobs, not allowed to stand as MPs, thrown out of political parties, have to compete with men in sports and so on, by people, almost invariably men, who insist they should be treated as women. These sorts of people are the last who want to get on with living a quiet life - but we have to pander to them.

Discriminating against women is so entirely normal and justifiable and downright good to do that mostly it just passes everyone by without blinking.

They are the one group you can treat how you like. They don't get listened to by the media, police or courts, there's a 1% successful prosecution for raping one, and men are the most important and focused on clients in all women's spaces. Media will hide cases and avoid reporting fairly or reporting at all on cases affecting them if they might affect men negatively. You can sack and abuse one for thinking she should have equality of consideration and rights including to say no to the man who wants to compel her to undress with him to meet his (varied and unspecified) needs. The homosexual ones are supposed to provide free sex work uncomplainingly to straight men rather than jar the man's self expression and inner self, and not look for - well. Anything like enjoyment in sex, or equality, she's just there for him and she can 'learn to cope'. And this is apparently.... ok.

What's the true meaning of 'oppressed group' again?

They don't have equality before the law because crimes against them don't really matter, they're not fully human like real people and it's ok for real people to ill treat them. In fact its understandable and normal to do so.

They don't have equality of representation or a voice in the mainstream media (that is slowly SLOWLY starting to shift based on a few cracking journalists pushing hard for years)

They can be treated in ways that are against the law and no one minds. (Except when they crowd fund from £5 from lots of women to stand in court and FORCE government and civil servants to follow their own laws) You can shout in the streets about how they should die and it's basically ok, but heaven help them if they step out of line, the police and government are right on them.

They are required to provide labour for more privileged groups. Like warping their language, performing lies and taking their clothes off for them.

Women are actually oppressed.

The real stuff. Not the fun stuff. And yes, I share your disbelief that we have such a massive, international issue with sexism that the above feels normal and right to so many.

This.

Plus, as I found out a couple of weeks ago on this very board, whistleblowing trumps policies, procedures and contracts, I believe.

And the truth is she was being suspended and investigated for refusing to participate in a sex offenders fetish.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 06/04/2025 23:08

An abusive racist sex offender’s fetish, at that.

Who made a lunge to attack her. Whilst fucking shackled!

Absolutely disgusting behaviour by the NHS.

I do genuinely believe that the road is running out for this hateful ideology, but fuck me, there are some casualties along the way

Hmm. The patient's conduct was reprehensible. However that doesn't alter the fact that the nurse could have referred to the patient as first name, last name "and they identify as female". That would have been correct and would have conveyed an accurate message. It would not have compromised the nurse's religious beliefs. From what I have read, it seems to me that the nurse was making a point and not doing it particularly respectfully.

This will not be as one sided as is being presented. I say that as an individual who has little time for the ingrained cultures and behaviours at this Trust which are far from optimal and often non co.pliant with the EA (2010).

According to the article she checked the patient’s file beforehand which said male, not trans and not female. So the file was wrong. I’m 100% behind her not being forced to use compelled speech, not being punished for correctly sexing a man, using correct biological terms to guide the doctor appropriately and following her conscience. To this list we can add saying what it says in his file.

She has been treated appallingly badly here.

Notaflippinclue · 07/04/2025 13:08

Let’s have a bit of naming and shaming - who was the manager who had her escorted out of the building after a 4 minute meeting and what’s the name of the creepy paedo - why is it all so one sided! Why are the bad guys always protected and the good guys dragged through the mud
