@Helleofabore

"A child who, at birth, appears to be a boy, may actually have the genes of a girl."

Article expanding on what I say above.

Edited

And a girl 'who appears to be a boy' at birth, is a girl with an enlarged clitoris, not a penis. And it is highly unlikely that after using the medical testing available to doctors now that that girl could not be reliably classified as a girl.

Move from lady brain,
To 'shells' and the word of Pease.
Dear God, read Hilton!

Is she?
Why did she use Robert Galbraith as her pen name then? Do you also support Gay Conversion Therapy and the horrors that go with it? As that's what Robert Galbraith did. And she chose it. She's an intelligent woman. She knew what she was doing.

By supporting trans ideology you are supporting gay conversion therapy, I can’t believe you don’t know that.

I got that impression that JK is generally sympathetic to trans people because she wrote, on the subject of trans people (while defending Maya F.)

Dress however you please.
Call yourself whatever you like.
Live your best life in peace and security.
[But don't force women out of their jobs for stating that sex is real - paraphrasing.]

For anyone reading this thread who is not aware that a woman was bullied out of her job (30 year career in the NHS) because
▪︎ her employer and
▪︎ senior members of the doctor team decided
¤ she must be in womans changing room while a man was changing because
□ he decided her actions
• leaving a womans space or
• staying out of a womans space
° while he was undressing
■ was her bullying him.

In my opinion, there are circumstances where it definitely shouldn't be considered materially real, like entering changing rooms via self-ID and like bio men competing in women's sports.

No foetus starts off male. Foetuses that are genetically destined to be male are masculinized by producing a large amount of testosterone at six weeks. It's hardly a stretch to imagine that sometimes the process goes haywire, resulting in a mismatch between the body and brain. The process can result in a body that develops as male but a brain that is never exposed to the testosterone, because the brain is the last organ in the process to be affected. (It's why there are more trans women than trans men.) I learnt all this from the book "Why Men Don't Listen and Women Can't Read Maps."

So I believe that some people absolutely are born experiencing life as the sex which is opposite to the body they inhabit and that they 100 percent truly and genuinely feel that they are the opposite sex in everything except body, and science says that that might well be correct.

Not the old chestnut of male and female brains, seriously?! There’s no such thing. No one is born in the wrong body, even those with DSD’s are either male or female.

Which ‘science’ says this, please provide examples because I must have missed that?

Helleofabore · 16/02/2025 08:58

Can I just thank pp though, for posting this:

'It's why there are more trans women than trans men.'

Is there really activist writers out there saying that? Blimey. It is like the sexual fetish element has been really deliberately ignored.

Bio of Allen Pease, co - Author of 'Why Men Don't Listen and Women Can't Read Maps' (from Goodreads) -

Allan Pease is an Australian author and motivational speaker. Despite having no education in psychology, neuroscience, or psychiatry, he has managed to establish himself as an "expert on relationships".
Originally a musician, he became a successful life insurance salesman, he started a career as a speaker and trainer in sales and latterly in body language. This resulted in a popular sideline of audio tapes, many of which feature his irreverent wit.

His best-selling book Body Language brought him international recognition. It has been followed by several others. He is quite well known in Australia and during the 1980s he was an occasional TV analyst for political debates where he would analyze the body language and overall performance of the contestants

I loved watching Alan Pease. But even as a child I knew he developed a skill in reading people. I never believed he was any kind of doctor or biologist. Now that is not to say that he couldn’t have referenced a biologist or medical doctor with a development specialism in his books. But I, personally, would check exactly who is saying these things before deciding that what they say is factually based as I have interpreted it.

I worked for a company who did research into map reading. Just small focus groups, not looking into brain differences either, just how maps are used.

It was found that female map readers turned maps to represent the direction of travel more than male map readers. But female people still could read a map.

Oh. And female map readers will ask for directions much quicker if they are lost than a male map reader.

I was just surprised to see JK insisting that a trans woman is a man in the light of previous respect she's shown trans people, in the lines I quote above. I don't know anything about India W.

IMO You need to engage with social media as an adult.

You are eavesdropping on an electronic communication and have no idea what was being discussed by the two people and what history the two people shared.

Yet you expanded that half heard out of context snippet between two person and decided the woman involved must be bad.

Why did you not look at the quoted original tweet and ask yourself why did that person post images of two people?
Or ask what did the text mean?

Failure to try find out the basics and to try do any type of research at all is why governments are claiming they need to babysit adults during electronic social interaction.

Prehaps your opening post should have been what is going on not bad woman

I don’t know how to break it to you but trans women ARE men. It isn’t hateful or unkind to state facts. JKR has never been anything other than crystal clear on that point. Beliefs, however misguided, should never override facts.

And that is kinda linked to the reason women's voices are used to tell fighter pilots to stop being naughty during flights as access to The Step requires a parachute 🤷‍♀️

@ThisFluentBiscuit India willoughby is a misogynistic bully. She tweeted a nasty message with images implying Sandy Peggie looked more like a bigoted bully than Upton. The images show Sandy as exactly who she is, a totally normal, middle aged woman still grieving the very recent loss of her father and one who has been under unimaginable stress because of her persecution by Fife NHS and the vainglorious Upton. Meanwhile to my eyes Upton looks exactly who he is a smug, smirking, self-satisfied idiot. Nothing vulnerable there. Willoughby was saying that because Sandy doesn’t fulfil the classic transidentifying male’s idea of femininity i.e. pink and fluffy, short skirt, squealing and having a pillow fight in the street, she must be a wrong un and a bigot and a bully. JKR picked him up on this and why not? Why should we always be nice and kind and let this endless wave of shite wash over us?

This, well said solitary

Thanks but you do the science.
Its clear, simple, easy to understand and drills down to the individual DSD.
I end up doing War and Peace (That Of the specie post 🫢 )

You with the science hold the clownfishes fins and gently lead them back to the coral reef. 😁

So I believe that some people absolutely are born experiencing life as the sex which is opposite to the body they inhabit and that they 100 percent truly and genuinely feel that they are the opposite sex in everything except body, and science says that that might well be correct.

’Science’ does not say they might be correct though. Social sciences have been used in an attempt to wedge open definitions. And to support this, misinformation is used. Or the possibility in the very far distant future of a discovery that may change how we view things.

For instance, how can it be materially real that a male lives as a ‘woman’.

No male can ever experience life as a woman. They can only ever experience life as a male person who believes they are a woman.
Even when they 'act' like a woman, they are acting as they believe a 'woman' should act.

Even if they are treated 'as a woman' by some people, they are being treated as a 'male who presents as a woman and believes they are a woman'. Because their every reaction is based on that. Not on them being female in any way.

Even when they have extreme body modifications, it is to be their own concept of what a female looks like to them. It is not what a female is.

How can it be?

The only way a person can experience life as a woman, is to have a female body, formed around the production of large gametes, even if it doesn't produce those and to navigate their life based on the decisions they and society makes that revolve around them having that body.

A male can conceptualise what it might be like to be a female, but that is all it ever is - their concept of being female.

Which is that they will always be just a male who believes they are something they are objectively not.
How can the material reality be any different? This is why someone's gender is only based on someone's philosophical belief. And philosophical beliefs are fine for people to hold, but not one person in the UK has to comply with another's philosophical belief.

The logic cannot be any different than that I am afraid. And yet, you claim : “I believe that some people absolutely are born experiencing life as the sex which is opposite to the body they inhabit and that they 100 percent truly and genuinely feel that they are the opposite sex in everything except body,

Sure they can ‘genuinely feel’ that. It doesn’t even stand up to basic scrutiny though. The logic fails because their entire life and their perceptions are based only on their living in the body they live in.

No ‘science’ supports this. No matter how some activists will try to make their interpretations seem to fit established science or their theories seem remotely credible.
