I have a trans partner so my own view of this is obviously not the same as most on MN but it does make me nervous that we don't know what this means long term.

Three women have died in Texas not being able to access help for pregnancy complications including an 18yo who died the day of her baby shower when she started to lose her baby.

No hospital would treat her and she died of sepsis.

Women on here can cheer all they want that Trump is on your side, but he's not.

Though, I do think trying to suggest Trump is like Hitler is one of the hyperboles that people are rejecting. Yes, he' seen as "a strong man"...but I think we're also seeing that across Europe and even further beyond...people are looking for strong leaders with convictions......a 're-masculinisation' and a process of re-defining boundaries - after so many decades in which men/maleness has been viewed only negatively. Though I don't think that a strong leader necessarily has to be male......Kemi Badenoch and Georgia Meloni are also strong leaders of conviction.

There are other women's rights apart from the right to choose, but all are predicated on the recognition of women and girls as a discrete category of human being. Without that, we have no sex-based rights at all.

Read the executive order, it says sex not gender. Argue all you want about what is meant by gender but he misspoke when quoting the new law.
