It was Edinburgh that was wanting people to walk on roads...

Did the woman from Trevi speak at Plymouth?

The BBC lunchtime news (not sure whether BBC 1 or News Channel) had a report from Liverpool saying "hundreds".

Showing straggling groups walking past the reporter after waiting for the pedestrian crossing lights to cross from one pavement to the other.

What do we want?
Women's rights!
When do we want them?
When the lights change

I wasn't there at 12 but there were definitely no Trevi banners or signs and I didn't recognise a single staff member. It's not mentioned on their socials.

I've been musing on this "TERFs not welcome" business. Basically they are saying that only the right sort of women deserve support, the ones who believe TWAW and never mind anything else. Its like those apologists for rape who say things like "she was asking for it", or "what did she expect, going out dressed like that?". Only the right sort of rape victim deserves sympathy and justice. Noone was really bothered about the women Peter Sutcliffe was killing, until he killed a "nice girl", and then suddenly it was serious.

Saying that TERFs aren't welcome is essentially saying that only women who behave in the right way deserve the support of other women. Its disgraceful.

👏and when you try (as have many here) try to point out this, we are silenced and banned.

One of the things I find odd about the marches is that advertising has been minimal, communications tightly controlled and overall reporting low. It will be interesting to see if what's actually happened will be reported? I wonder whether there's a brave reporter who will take this on? I did contact a Welsh reporter - no response.

Sparklybutold · 18/01/2025 14:47

Worthy to mention however that Jill Foster has been reporting it and can be found on x if anyone wants to contact her.

BackToLurk · 18/01/2025 14:52

Front of the London march. Biggest sign about transwomen, signs about Trump and racism, some also about women coming up behind.

Who are the counter protesters?
Of course the WRM have a man leading the chants!

Waxingmoons · 18/01/2025 15:28

Disappointing lack of awareness. They say they march to inspire future generations but haven’t reached out to any past or present women’s organisations. Nevertheless Im glad young women want to voice their concerns, just feel their quite muddled yet.

Glad to see the Telegraph are reporting on the violent transwoman's cancellation by the useful idiot march organisers:

The march I went to had loads of people. Speakers talking about abortion, domestic violence, safe streets.
The odd trans banner / chant and a non binary speaker but certainly not the predominant message. And this is fair enough in my opinion as it what was advertised. It was always going to be TWAW.

Where were you? Was it the thousands they said? They said they would emulate the last march of thousands against trumps president win.

“I suggested to the UKWM leaders that I stand down from speaking but they were adamant that I should stand up and be a voice for those women in prison especially after my own experience of being in a women’s prison.

I can't see any comments under the article. Maybe they've turned them off.

Unsurprisingly - I'd love to see what people would say about this little gem.
