@TigerLily40 oh yes you did say, did they say it was because of the shitshow it had become?

Sparklybutold · 17/01/2025 21:38

Or to be honest was always going to be given there inclusion of TW, because you know, they are actual women 😒

duc748 · 17/01/2025 21:39

I bet there will be TW in fetish gear tomorrow because they thrive on the attention, whilst women fawn over their bravery. Honestly makes me feel queasy.

If there are, be sure the TV news cameras will be there to catch it!

They said personal reasons/ things in their personal life but I think it was how it all turned out. I sent her a message with my concerns and she got back to me a couple of weeks after saying she is just back from holiday and came back to all this. She didn't know half of went on, but I of course filled her in.
She said she wasn't wanting to exclude people etc and wanted everyone to work together. After the new year, I chased her for an update and she tells me she has left.

Sparklybutold · 17/01/2025 21:41

I just reflect on all the harassment, discrimination, violence, grooming, sexual assaults and rape that I have experienced, and this didn't occur because I felt like a girl/woman - I just was. I was targeted because of it. Then the fact that when you talk about it with other women, so many have also experienced it.

I know you all know this, it just confuses me and makes me sad that the exclusion of women from a woman's march is so readily accepted whilst words like inclusiveness are widely cited by the same organisation.

Sparklybutold · 17/01/2025 21:43

So the new leader just tells you she left without any more enquiry abouts what's been happening? Did you get any further with FSU? I was sent a reply a couple of weeks ago saying it was being dealt with elsewhere - I'm not sure what this means.

duc748 · 17/01/2025 21:43

'inclusiveness' already has that Ministry Of Love vibe.

Being dealt with me perhaps as I am liaising with the CEO. Will pm you about it

Sparklybutold · 17/01/2025 21:45

I'm joining WRN btw - after first confusing them with the women's march so sending a complaint email, followed by an apology email, followed by a can I join your group email 😁 they've vetted my social media, asked the relevant questions, now I'll have the online meeting to make sure I'm not in actual fact a complete lunatic and then I can join an organisation which knows what a woman is.

Sparklybutold · 17/01/2025 21:46

@TigerLily40 yeah please do because I can't deny I'm feeling a bit crap about it all.

Chrysanthemum5 · 17/01/2025 21:47

Well I was accused of being transphobic for saying SJB had been invited to speak and was told that I was unkind for being unable to forgive SJB's torture and sexual assault of a teenage boy

So I have no time for these statements they are putting out now pretending not to know. I was explicitly told the London organisers knew of SJB's past and had forgiven him so I should do so as well

I had to look up your analogy - yeah it does. Comply with this type of inclusiveness, not actual inclusiveness, but this one, that excludes you or you will be ousted and vilified.

They've released another statement apperently, a more PC one. Will have a look...

I informed them of the sexual and domestic violence I have faced but that was ignored. I explained how uncomfortable I felt about them blocking victims because they wanted single sex spaces. But was just ignored.

JumpingPumpkin · 17/01/2025 21:54

Someone asked on the previous thread as to why they don't make the match women only and men/"trans women" can support.

It’s because any questioning of trans women not being included in the group women is "hate speech" as far as they're concerned. So men must be included at the expense of women who point this out.

I just joined the WRN too and had the meeting! They are a great bunch and put out a statement about the march too.

@Chrysanthemum5 could have sworn I saw a second statement? But can't find it now - of course they have a tendency to delete things.

Hence why I like the million women march. They aren't scared to say biological women only.

I'm waiting for the online meeting too!

cariadlet · 17/01/2025 22:01

I'm going to my nearest march tomorrow.

I'm meeting up with some fellow terfs but after everything that's happened today, I'm planning on mingling with ordinary women who don't have a clue what's going on, asking them why they're marching and then asking them - in my best shocked, naive voice - if they have heard about the violent man who had been invited to speak at the London march.

I should be able to peak a few women.
