And I hope you're feeling hungry Boily. I did try to explain to the AI about hoods and respirator masks... I think it probably reckoned that quokkas are unlikely to catch beetle diseases.

Yes, probably waterproofs to protect against violent sneezes is the main thing. No gerbil needs snotty fur.

<sneezes>
<coughs up left lung>
<sneezes again>

I've been locked in the store room for everybody's safety. Can someone send a gerbil or quokka through in full hazmat with a new box of tissues, some chicken soup and a bottle of buttercup?

< Checks Cake isn't looking... pets Catherine the shrew>

<OW!>

And some plasters, I have acquired a nasty bite on my finger.

<sneezes>

The gerbils forgot about Catherine, but here she is on the tree now.

What you need is a quokka nurse - they're fearless. Or an android nurse, of course. Neither of them needs a hazmat suit.

Get well soon.

Why was that quokka dressed like Bruce Lee?

OP posts:
Magpiecomplex · 15/12/2024 11:49

Hazmat suit, or Gemini's attempt at one...

AsWithGlad · 15/12/2024 11:53

Catherine looks deceptively soft, fizzy and gentle on the tree. Not the type to bite a finger. I suppose that’s how she manages to do so, lulls you into thinking she only has your best interests at heart.

Do the Bluestocking’s magical powers of recuperation work in the stockroom?

ifIwerenotanandroid · 15/12/2024 11:54

That chicken soup isn't... er... very nice-looking, either.

I tried - mine are all kinds of wrong, too. FOOD HYGIENE, you quokkas!

One of those appears to be gerbil soup.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 15/12/2024 12:03

It's just having a little swim.

FuzzyPuffling · 15/12/2024 12:04

I hope it isn't washing its snotty fur.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 15/12/2024 12:11

Can somebody bring Boily a box of tissues, please? She's been wiping her nose on the baby quokkas again!

Oh, and a new bowl of soup.

Boiledbeetle · 15/12/2024 12:16

Thanks all. Mmm nice soup.

Oh crap.

I'm obviously highly contagious.

That quokka should really have worn a hood on that hazmat suit when delivering the soup.

Both the gerbil and quokka staff seem susceptible to my germs!

There appears to be some horrifying side effects, I'm all fuzzy, one of the gerbils has grown a carapace (obviously I wasn't hallucinating at the end of the last thread,there really was a gerbil beetle sat watching me)

We need to hire some agency Capybaras to stand in for the sick gerbils and quokkas

If you've got a temperature I suspect you'll soon have a nice comforter of cats. They always like to curl up on something warm.

otoh there is a well-known cold cure that involves putting a candle somewhere in view of the bed, lighting it, drinking hot whiskeys until you see two candles, then going to sleep for 24 hours.

FuzzyPuffling · 15/12/2024 12:42

You're all "fuzzy"???
Well, welcome to my world! 😁😁

ifIwerenotanandroid · 15/12/2024 12:46

Deffo delirious. Boily, my dear, you are NOT turning into a gerbeetle. Your beloved old school was NOT called 'Chicken Soup'. No-one has yet invented 'Plaisings' the tissue for each nostril.

Boily? Boily, can you hear me? Boily? NURSE!!!!

MarieDeGournay · 15/12/2024 13:35

<pauses to wipe tears of laughter from eyes>
gosh you lot are on top form today!

It all started with Magpie's hazmat- [well not quite..]suited quokka bearing a bowl of soup.

The more accurate these images are, the funnier they are I think- it is a perfect, very caring-looking quokka, the suit and the bowl are clearly drawn, the soup - ok the soup is odd but also well drawn.

A totally convincing visual image of a sympathetic furry animal in protective gear carrying a bowl of soupConfused, so the cognitive dissonance washilarious, and started the laughing-out-loud which then continued brilliantly!

Thank you O Clever OnesSmile

MarieDeGournay · 15/12/2024 13:42

Crafty Corner - my fingers strayed dangerously close to the K key thereGrin
I've just made these..objets - they could be Xmas tree decos, I didn't have a teleology in mind, I was just experimenting with cookie cutters, letter stamps, and cheap air-drying modelling stuff for kids - weird stuff, I won't use it again, but it comes in lots of colours and it is practically indestructible and as light as a feather - hey maybe they should make brightly-coloured aircraft out of itSmile

And...breathe - I just realised that those 6 lines are all one sentence, sort-of.
I think I'm still giddy from laughing at your funny healthcare professionals!

Magpiecomplex · 15/12/2024 14:03

What excellent objets, Marie! I envision them as ceramic-esque room scent holdery things. There's probably a word for them but you get my drift - something you can drip perfume onto that will then release it very gently into the atmosphere as a kind of DIY air freshener. Boily could probably do with a couple infused with Olbas oil.

Thank you !
As it was my first effort with this modelling stuff, I used my least favourite colour, and I agree- it should smell of lavender.
The texture is more hard foam than clay, it's weird stuff.

As said, I won't be using it again but I have half a dozen more colours to use up, maybe I could craft a little vessel to hold Olbas Oil for Boily - to be carried to her ceremoniously by a solemn procession of Quokkas wearing Grecian robes..

Now I wonder what that might look like.....🤔
😄

Magpiecomplex · 15/12/2024 15:22

Boily is looking particularly majestic here!

Could you marble or stripe purple, white & green? I think they look great. You could make hundreds of them & hang them close together on a gallery wall like a curtain. There really needs to be an exhibition of T!!! art one day.

Absolutely! But why are the quokkas wearing togas?

Closest the AI could get to Grecian robes! I didn't want to try again in case it just got worse.

ErrolTheDragon · 15/12/2024 16:51

They're himations.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 15/12/2024 16:55

LOL - I was going to suggest that at the Bluey they must be herations, when I checked it via google & found this:

I love the 'vaginizer'.

(Why are the quokkas in Greek robes, then?)
