Ah, man it's so sad. Hopefully the wind of change that's finally blowing will mean he can come back soon, and all those cowards should look him in the eye and apologise.

I'm genuinely sorry to see him leave and wish him all the best. He is a great man and we are lucky to have him and others like him fighting for us.

Has Glinner left 'the fight'? Women's Place have stepped down. Gender A Wider Lens podcast finishing. This isn't over people!

I wish him good luck and happiness. He deserves it after all the shit he's taken. Turned out he was right all along!

We owe him so much. Hopefully he will find great projects in the US

I think when any of us have given as much to the fight as him, we'd be entitled to step back too.

I missed this on Twitter and I must have used up my allotted number of Spectator articles as I can only read the first paragraph. Anyways thanks for everything you've done @Glinner and all the very best.

If he can make a splash in the U.S it can only help matters here- further down the line.

He is going to Arizona to work on a new sitcom. He was quite emotional about the Fr Ted musical, saying that he knows it will probably never be shown, as he feels that it was probably his greatest work. I feel sad that we have been denied the opportunity to see it in order to pacify a very powerful minority of people.
I hope he is successful in his new venture but he plans to keep his substack going and will remain on X so he isn't abandoning the fight.

Good luck Glinner! I love Father Ted, it’s one of the all time greats and I hope to see the musical one day when the tide has turned even further.

Has the article been amended, I read it earlier and I'm sur it said 'anti-trans view'. I put it down to the snarky Steerpike persona but it rankled.

He said he'll still be on TwiX and will have his Substack so he's not leaving the fight.

Hopefully it means we will actually be able to see something he writes and produces!

He's gone to where he is allowed to use his skills for comedy and to earn a living again.

The problem with leaving the UK to move to another country is coming back again, it frightens the living daylights out of you.
