The Liberals need to think if a guy that can spaff 7 figures just by running his mouth, libelling his colleagues, is the best guy for the top seat.

I mean it's not like you'd be doing a Boromir 'My Brother, my Captain, my King' would you? Guy's a massive liability both financial and political.

I don't care if he's got nice hair, he's no longer fair dinkum. He's whatever the opposite of that is. A flamin gallah or some such thing (not really fluent in Straya)

A shit cunt. A fuckwit. A massive dickhead.

He was aiming for Destination Perfect and he ended up taking a short cut to Destination Fucked (Ozzie Man)

For those who haven’t experienced the joy of Ozzy Man’s way with the English language:

Victorian Liberal Party currently meeting to vote on whether Moira Deeming can rejoin the lib party room.

Grammarnut · 19/12/2024 23:18

Excellent!

Helleofabore · 19/12/2024 23:26

I hope she is voted back in.

As all she seems guilty of is inadvertently giving Pesutto the opportunity to spaff money and drag his party into disrepute I don't see how they can justify keeping her out.

Nope. John says No. Split down the middle so he got the casting vote and he couldn’t be the bigger man.

Well, I suspect she will outlast him in parliament so, maybe next time.

What a petty petty man!

The reason she got thrown out is because HE lied about her and now she's proven that he didn't tell the truth about her when having her removed from the party, he STILL won't let her back in. Fucking ridiculous behaviour.

lcakethereforeIam · 19/12/2024 23:33

Well my post aged like fine milk.

TheSandgroper · 19/12/2024 23:56

The ABC in my link above seems to be giving one member after another airtime to have a comment or two, either going in or coming out, so that means Victorian constituents are getting to see their members view.

It seems that even before Pesutto cast his vote, she didn’t have the numbers as per the constitution.

It seems like one of the oldest stories going: woman stands up to man who had savaged her reputation but, even when she proves what he did, she is still punished by her colleagues for standing up for herself and refusing to fade away meekly into obscurity.

TheSandgroper · 20/12/2024 00:15

@UtopiaPlanitia If I was feeling generous, I might say that it certainly looks that way.

If I was being clear eyed, I would say “Of course”.

He's making himself look ridiculous. Sour grapes or what.

ABC is saying V has two bye elections in February and tensions continue.

He has 3 million reasons to re-admit her and he's still defying the fact that he's a liar. Does he want to self destruct?

Edited

Pesutto is playing a game of Machiavellian intensity here. He hasn't lost, he's been diverted, and as his political ambitions seem to know no bounds, he is still out to destroy her. That means (in Machiavellian terms) he sees her as a powerful rival. Such people have to be eliminated. The victor takes the spoils, and clings to power.

Cailleach1 · 20/12/2024 03:23

Wow. Should the defamer not have had to withdraw himself as he was shown to have had her ousted under false pretences in the first place? Why does a shown dodgy politician (who is possibly now embittered vengeful after having been exposed as untruthful and dishonest in a court judgement) get to continue his vendetta against a woman who annoys him as she stands up for the rights of women and children.

borntobequiet · 20/12/2024 07:17

Astounding, not in a good way.

BezMills · 20/12/2024 07:36

He's actually pathetic. It will just make it all the sweeter when he gets in the bin, I suppose.

And the Australian commentator says that “in politics, momentum is key and Moira Deeming has it”. He also wonders how Pesutto plans to pay the fine and costs.
