This one for example. Transvestigating is an informal term given to when people play detective and try to determine if a given person (usually a woman) is transgender or not from how they look e.g. photos.

I've seen it more than a few times on Twitter anytime a woman who is tall or muscular or "masculine looking" appears. Quite often, women are wrongly mistaken for being trans.

As well as being transphobic, IMO this harms all women and reinforces stereotypes of what men/women should look like. And the idea of obsessing over people's appearances like this just doesn't sit well with me.

Shades of Galloway, "being the cat" Confused

TWETMIRF · 11/12/2024 20:46

Butters identifies as having answered the questions and the transanswers are more answery than the cisanswers.

If Mr Galloway identifies as a cat we surely must offer him a basket in the collective FWR cattery!

Eh Butterfly you've got me really confused.

If no one can tell you are trans (to the point someone in a hospital thought you were pregnant according to you), how has your life been ruined because you are trans?

Schrödingers trans person?

TWETMIRF · 11/12/2024 21:07

That would explain why purring was thought to be expected

EmpressaurusKitty · 11/12/2024 21:40

Kitty and I would like to intervene at this point, on behalf of all the cats & humans on the Litter Tray board.

Please don’t send us George Galloway. Thank you.

Ciscats must stop this systemic marginalisation of Transcats.

George the Transcat must be allowed to share the Ciscat littertray, anything less would be a return to pre civil rights segregation.

Think George Transcat’s arse is too big to fit in the Ciscat’s litter tray?

Well, that’s a you problem, so educate yourself, BIGOT!

I will continue to fight on behalf of all women regardless of how authentic you consider my particular womanhood to be.

I would ask that you please not do the far right's work for them. Policing femininity and creating a climate of fear that enables the abuse of anyone who does not superficially appear to be 'female enough' does not aid any of us in any way.

I would ask that you stop insinuating we are working for the far right consciously or unconsciously and that you stop the forced teaming

Enough4me · 11/12/2024 23:01

"Authentic" Butterfly?
That's a contradiction from your earlier admittance of "stealth".

themostspecialelfintheworkshop · 11/12/2024 23:20

To go back to the original intent of the thread which is to stop women speaking about cases where we think sex falsification is taking place, I'd be happy to stop talking about this as soon as men of all and any kind get out and stay out of single sex spaces for women.

BearOnABlanket · 12/12/2024 07:05

Never - a cat's arse always fits wherever the cat intends to put it. Noticing that George's arse is too big for the litter tray is transphobic.

On the PB issue - there are actually plenty of women who have been given them for cancer or endometriosis, and are campaigning for that not to happen any more - because the side effects are so atrocious. They are even rare for precocious puberty these days.

The idea of giving them to children because they 'feel like the opposite gender' is absolutely insane, and only justified by calling them 'life-saving' - when in reality, if someone is suicidal, that's what should be dealt with first, not piling on other drugs with side-effects for the purpose of making the person more 'passing' in 'adulthood' (is it really adulthood if you've been prevented from going through puberty?)

Kitty and I would like to intervene at this point,

Beautiful cat!

BTW, 30 pages and many posts in, we still have no links showing baying mobs of middle aged women going Viking on helpless transw, for some unknown reason.

JumpingPumpkin · 12/12/2024 08:08

Nrft, I assume the point has been made many times over that most people here are not interested in "policing femininity". We don't care how feminine or masculine a person looks. We do think it's important to recognise a person's sex.

The only reason this is a problem is because the new media and authorities have started reporting men as women, and thus, we have to check ourselves rather than trust the courts, police and new reports.

Butterfly thinks that us who want truthful reporting are the problem. We think the liars are the problem.

Amazing how those smearing women who defend their rights to privacy and the safeguarding of children will use any old made up bollocks.

Presumably the Deeming case and unequivocal legal trouncing of John Persutto will make these people think twice.

TwistedWonder · 12/12/2024 08:51

Many of us grew up in the era of New Romantics where what was known as ‘gender bending’ was very mainstream. The likes of Boy George and Marilyn wore dresses and make up and were still absolutely men. And Annie Lennox for example wore a suit and tie, had cropped hair and yet was still extremely feminine. We accept gender non conformity without question - it’s the fact we’re now expected to accept men are women because they say so that’s the issue.

Clabony · 12/12/2024 09:37

The university town near me had quite the influx of glowering young men in frocks and lipstick over the last few years. No problem, but then it became their thing to go in and out of the womens public toilets. More for giggles than shitz I think. The bus station usually had a gaggle of them waitng for the free bus to take them the half a mile to the campus.

But not this year for some reason.

Perhaps it was all those pesky pensioners living their own true authentic lives coming out of the Age UK lunch, and giving them funny looks and telling them to get out of the lavvy?

BH also deflects instead of answering straightforward questions, when he knows the answer would reflect poorly on the ideology. If pressed, he claims that he did give an answer.

I don't answer rhetorical questions and nor do I defend straw man arguments projected onto me.

Also please don't misgender me.

You also seem not to answer plain and simple questions about statements you have made, such as all the women frightening and brutalising delicate, meek transw - do you have any footage of such?

Butterfly

You may not have used those precise words, but that was what you were trying to convey. It's a common TEZ trope, there are examples of it all over the internet.

BTW, have you got some videos for us to look at, of middle aged women scaring and intimidating poor transw?

"TEZ" meaning please?
