It was android who remembered ... she is the one who deserves thanks 🥰 - and I want to add my thoughts to hers, too, and also to add that I have had both my cataracts done and I'm immensely grateful and pleased with the outcome. The actual operations were much less awful than I imagined. Everyone was so kind and professional and supportive.

No problem. To commemorate this day, I asked AI for 'puffin wearing dark glasses, carrying white stick & holding guide dog being hugged by android'. The results were predictably unpredictable but these were my faves.

Yes, it is but it is also a trial for doing raku next year so we thought we'd do a pit firing first and see if we liked it. It's all for fun.

That quick half turned into a pub crawl and I don't know where I left my cardi!

I vaguely remember a hot flush and trying to get all my arms out of it in a rush and some bloke following behind me with a ball of wool that kept getting bigger!

If necessary Mr FuzzyPuffling would probably be allowed to enter the Bluestocking to send updates that aren't gibberish!. We won't feed him, water him or let him have a seat, in fact we'll probably intercept him at the door! He can pass the messages onto Colin who can bring the messages in attached to his collar!

The whole thing will be over and just a memory before you know it Fuzzy x

You won't have the drug-induced Purple Haze that is all I remember from my cataract ops, but I can promise that the world will be a brighter place - that's not a line from 'I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing', it's true - it's lovely to see true colours and bright whiteness again when the cataracts are gone
