There were a few decades of my life where I truly believed that people with very important jobs were competent to make better laws and policies, even if I disagreed with their direction. Statement from police said no rapist had been recorded as female, but there was no reassurance that other violent male offenders, including those accused of sexual assault but not rape, have not been recorded as female.

It should also be pointed out that male rapists, such as Bryson, often only discover their feminine identity after conviction and , as they have been convicted as men, the records reflect this.

The decision on whether to place trans woman convicts is made on a case by case basis. This has been the case for a while and isn't related to self-id.

Isla was mentioned above, worth noting she was placed in a male prison to serve time. Initially she was held in a woman's prison while on remand and in solitary only until a decision was made where to put her.
