Could you help me understand what was achieved when she kept posting snide nasty remarks about a trans football manager? Who happened to be happily married, supported by the team she manages and the other teams, and isn't a criminal?

I saw the football manager got a lot of abuse from JK Rowling's followers, but the people who already supported her were continuing to support her. So what's the outcome from that other than to bully a trans woman who is doing nothing wrong except existing? I keep hearing the word "witch hunt" but that appears to be what JK Rowling is doing to other women.

Sounds like there could be more court case overs over both those comments. Aren't Maya and Glinner both in some legal trouble too over alleged comments made towards trans/gay people?

While the gender critical movement may have some valid points, JKR and friends aren't doing themselves any favours by bullying women or making potential libellous hateful implications or accusations.

And that picture of IK in makeup is interesting. I could put my long haired adult son in makeup and pink earrings and he'd look pretty similar. So it's not proof of anything.

Christinapple we know you don't see transwomen as women because you are so focussed on making sure that they have every whim catered to. If you saw them as women you wouldn't care about them so much.

If transwomen really wanted to be seen as and treated as women then they wouldn't expect anyone to listen to them. The expectation that the world will bow to all their demands is the ultimate admission that they see themselves as men.

@Christinapple , I'm afraid I can't help you other than pointing you again at Rowling's essay, which will give you the insight you need to get her angle.

If JKR is going to judge other women's appearances (how very feminist of her?) I'm sure she wouldn't mind a little discussion of her own appearance being judged? Are her pics photoshopped or is that botox I see? Come on, virtually noone looks perfectly smooth and flawless at age 60 especially if they like a little drink or two.

Women shouldn't be shamed for their application of make-up either if it doesn't conform to JKR's liking.

You are deliberately misinterpreting her point. You know this.

I doubt she has any strong feelings either way about the aesthetic qualities of Khelifs makeup. She is simply pointing out that the application does not make Khelif a woman.

How is she putting transwomen at risk? She's not incited any risk or violence at any point?
And she's definitely not said anything to put real women at risk, everything she says is promoting keeping women and girls safe.
