It’s perfectly possible to feel sympathy for someone who discovered at adolescence that they are not who they assumed they were.

They have known for years that they are male yet they are getting in a boxing ring and putting female lives in danger to line their own pockets. No. I do not care for their feelings over female safety.

This is what a decent person would do on discovering that they're male. Erik withdrew and gave the medals he'd won to their rightful female owners. Respect to him.

You know full well that having an interpreter for a man who does not speak English is not the issue here.

What usually happens is that the interviewee starts to talk, then the interpreter chips in and the interviewee's voice is muted - so it's clear that the voice you are hearing is not theirs. At the end of the clip, the interpreter stops talking and the interviewee's voice is unmuted again. They don't usually dub right over the interviewee's voice, so that you never actually hear it. If that is what happens in the video, it's suspicious, because it suggests that they are trying to trick the viewer into thinking that Khelif has a female voice.

When comparing current running times with historical times, need to bear in mind the effects of 'super shoes' on running speed.

I haven't calculated numbers, but my impression is that more women are running sub-2 for 800m and sub-4 for 1500m than was historically the case (i.e. Semenya's times were more of an outlier at the time than they seem now. IIRC Semenya also rarely/never appeared to run 'flat out').

A lot of people are going to waking up so confused and upset this morning, as reality bites, considering SM over the last couple of days. It shouldn't be hard, should it? Simple chromosome test; if you're XY, you count as male. If these wretches at the IOC are twisting and turning on a spit now, it's what they deserve. They are literally the antithesis of everything the Olympics are supposed to be about.

Just from a Google, a male and female runner side by side. The difference is very obvious.
