"And lastly, Imane is from a very anti-LGBT country, so those who keep incorrectly saying or implying she is a man or trans could be putting her safety at risk. Doesn't "women's rights" include women with a hormone/chromosome disorder, or should those women be "thrown under the bus" because it's an excuse to be transphobic?"
So conservative, yet Imane presents highly masculine, wears western male clothing, does not wear any form of female religious clothing which could possibly be expected in such a strict country as people are keen to point out?* Also, as has been pointed out several times, Imane is believed to have XY chromosomes which is why these "eligibility tests" were failed, and therefore could potentially have a DSD which effects men. This would also not be evident until puberty, hence why pictures show Imane in pictures in very feminine clothing.
*of course, this should not be an issue, many women wear "masculine" clothing, and not all Muslim women wear religious clothing. Yet, considering people are saying things like Algeria doesn't tolerate "gender nonconformity" in any way, it seems surprising that Imane would be so masculine presenting. I again stress, it shouldn't matter, but this keeps cropping up.
