I just tried to post a comment on The Courier Mail latest article about the “gender firestorm”.
It has been rejected multiple times as containing one or more banned words.
So, in response especially to the last few sentences of the article:
“Olympic officials would have cringed at Carini saying she had to quit to safeguard her life.
The truth is it was not her life in danger but the very competition she was taking part in.”
This was my comment -
It was her life in danger, though - a XY body and strength could easily severely injure, maim or kill a female (Xx) boxer.
No one cares what “gender” someone wants to present as - live your life however you want, call yourself whatever you prefer, wear whatever clothes make you happy. Everyone should be free to express their personality however they like.
Science, medicine and fact underpin the basis of reality, though, with it simply not possible for a biological male (XY chromosomes) to “become” a biological female (XX chromosomes). Regardless of the legal fiction of “changing” their gender on their birth certificate or passport, males cannot change sex, only their gender presentation.
Even in the tragic circumstances where an XY individual is born with a DSD (Differences of Sexual Development), and is erroneously brought up as a female - their biology, their strength, length, span, gait, organs, etc remains male.
Males should not compete against females in boxing (or any other sport), due to their different physiology. The sexes are fundamentally different, and a male with XY chromosomes will retain male biological advantages in strength, etc regardless of whether they wear a dress or trousers, regardless of what they call themselves, or how they were raised.
