I think having people trying to kill you because you want women to a) be able to speak for themselves and about their lives and b) believe women should have a right to single sex spaces might make you a little bit less willing to compromise and a bit blunter.

That is true, but that is not the position she has taken as you well know. Stella Malley can attest to that as can so many other GCers she has gone after for not being uncompromising enough.

Ok let’s take this from the beginning.

One specific GC woman being called out for clearly transphobic behaviour does not mean that all GC people are transphobic.

One specific GC woman being called out for far right associations and statements does not mean that all GC people are far right.

FYI it’s OK to acknowledge and condemn it when one of your own side is being a total asshat.

Thinking about it, her behaviour is straight out of the alt right/ Trump/ Bannon playbook from the US. All over the US far right activists have been taking over school boards and otherwise getting themselves undeserved publicity by simply refusing to play by the rules. They turn up at public meetings and shout, swear and behave obnoxiously, accusing their opponents of being in on a massive paedophile conspiracy. Or they organise campaigns of harassment against those in public office or just working in the public sector who belong to groups they dislike, including those who are LGBT or otherwise different, again accusing them of monstrous crimes, notably grooming and abusing children.

Normal people and systems struggle to deal with people behaving like this so they’ve had some limited success, often because for instance sane candidates for school boards and other low level elected office get driven away by such behaviour and by the personal harassment directed at them.

Fortunately the public sector in the UK is better set up to deal with such obnoxious behaviour and personal harassment, as seen by the fact here that all she’s achieved is to be thrown off her GP’s list.

But it seems clear that’s the model.

Far Right because an idiot rent a crowd turned up uninvited to an event where women wanted to talk about things that affect women. Far Right for mentioning specific court cases about male violence against women.

Yet to see one 'trans ally' on here (and it's the same ones) denounce any of the appalling behaviour dished out by the rabid TRA's. The ones who turn up to the aforementioned events just to hurl insults, bang drums, hold up signs saying 'decapitate terfs, punch terfs in the face'. I've been asking for examples to various claims and so far only had one, which was nonsensical. It's also quiet because it's Saturday evening and likely people have better things to do with their time.

KJK has done great work highlighting an issue for discussion, but I do feel that her methods are as bad as the TRAs sometimes and she does seem to stir up a lot of hatred, where many other feminists try for discussion.

Wearing a pronoun badge doesn’t make anyone an “activist”. I work in a very mainstream sector, nothing you’d consider “woke” and every conference I’ve been to recently has had a space for pronouns on the name badges handed out (I just leave it blank). There have been many threads on here about large organisations trying to get their staff to put pronouns in their email signatures. I don’t agree with any of that and never give my pronouns if asked for them on forms etc, but it all means that loads of simply well meaning people who haven’t thought about it too much declare their pronouns in one form or another - email signatures, badges etc. They are not all evil activists looking to dox any woman who looks at them funny.
