KJK Live streams being sacked from her GPs surgery - trans staff member

HootyMcBooby · 19/07/2024 17:15

Forward to 19.15 for the actual phone call.

KJK confrontation with trans staff member at her GPs surgery.

This ideology has no place in the NHS.
As someone whose Mother, aged 72, had a stroke and waited in an NHS corridor on a trolley for 16 hours only to be asked as the doctors FIRST question....... "how do you identify?", I feel the NHS is captured beyond hope,

I've had to leave my GP surgery due to an activist working there. #LWS #LetWomenSpeak #LWSLocals

Pronoun badges or email signs are not contentious for most sane people.

Citation please.

Pronoun badges or email signs are not contentious for most sane people.

They are used by thousands of people worldwide in their work, as guided by their managers.

You all continuing to describe it as some provocative activist statement doesn’t make it true. It’s perfectly ordinary.

And again, none of the pronoun like / dislike stuff excuses swearing at and harassing people in their workplace, or live streaming a phone call without consent.

Nope. If you think telling someone to call you by something you are not when you aren't even there is sanity, then you need to seek assistance.

Or read 1984.

It wasn't supposed to be a handbook.

Only thing wrong with what I just watched was that she didn't inform the caller they were on air till the end. She was blunt and emotional during the call but not abusive. Her argument is sound ideology has no place in the gp practice and forcing people to use pronouns is not ok. We have had rulings on this recently? It's not legal to force compliance?

Swearing or shouting at staff is not ok. We don't have a recording of her interaction at the dr surgery to know if she behaved appropriately there.

I really do agree with her but she should not have taken that call on air. It named the surgery and the staff member said her name. That should have been edited out before playing to the public in my opinion

Yeah but actual doxxing with name and place of work shared live without consent is apparently totally fine if it’s KJK that does it.

Plus actually calling for people to protest at the surgery.

But all good, it was KJK so doesn’t count, and can be totally ignored by a board that claims to be all about safeguarding and consent.

Slow hand clap, again.

She didn't share the name and location of the surgery.

My boss has pronouns in her bio but a week ago was ranting about Anneliese Dodds "thinking a woman can have a penis" in a manner worthy of KJK herself.

When I pointed out that many people would find this contradictory she seemed genuinely puzzled!

I suspect both sides are wrong in giving a consistent meaning to things like pronoun badges or Emails.

she has on X multiple times

saraclara · 20/07/2024 10:07

She was blunt and emotional during the call but not abusive.

If you'd been on the other end of a phone call where someone very angrily and constantly shouted over you, you wouldn't call it emotional, you'd call it abusive. As, hopefully, would your employer.

Your bias is showing egregiously. That behaviour from a customer/client/service user would not be acceptable anywhere.

Then doubtless they were grateful that she crossed a clear line and they were able to boot her out.

Yes she did.

In the call that she broadcast without consent, the name of the person calling her and the name of the surgery are clearly stated.

oh i’d say they would be to a point. i can imagine she’s not pleasant to be around no matter what. but to call for protestors outside their office is just insanity.

if a man spoke like that to them they’d (rightfully) call out the behaviour. but when the patron saint of twats does it, apparently it’s just emotional. like feelings…. i’ve been told on here feelings don’t trump safety so…

I read another post similar to this recently. I'm not sure if the other post was also yours or if this is quite common, that some people who declare their own sex-based pronouns don't realise that doing so is a statement of genderist belief.

Yes many people assume it's to help those with unisex names be addressed according to their sex and not just guessed at.

imagine this exact situation in reverse.

a GC receptionist and a Trans patient.

i hate hypocrisy. there are comments on this thread by GC people who agree that she is in the wrong here - so at least we know some aren’t blind to it.

CassieMaddox · 20/07/2024 10:50

I actually feel quite sorry for the receptionist, I can imagine KJK standing at reception demanding they explain themselves for wearing a badge was extremely humiliating and possibly a bit scary.

I really don't think there is any justification for it. It would be like someone deciding to have a go at a receptionist wearing a hijab about whether God exists.

From what KJK said she started the conversation with the receptionist.

I've said multiple times on here that KJK wrote one of the few truly transphobic posts I've seen on here which is why I've never been a fan, it appears her true colours are showing more and more.

It is also illegal to record phone calls without permission so she could find herself in hot water if the surgery reports her. Although I agree with PP she will probably just use that for "crowd funding"

It could have been me - I think I mentioned it on another thread.

It has worried me for a while that some GCs are now quite a long way from what the median position is on this issue. That doesn't mean you can't try and push it in the direction you want. But any successful campaign needs to take into account where people actually are.

The majority who might well be inside with things like female sport and puberty blockers probably aren't bothered at all by a person wearing a pronoun badge or even a Pride flag.

We have a member of staff who is a trans woman

I am very gender critical and my belief is he is male and nothing is ever going to change that. My boss used to do a ladies day out and a men's day out for a Christmas present - usually the girls went to a spa day together and the boys went car racing at the track. This is now being changed to something less gendered as some of the women weren't comfortable with our new colleague joining us on a spa trip.

However when discussing this individual with other people or speaking to them at work I use preferred name and pronouns to be polite and to not make their life harder.

You can be gender critical without being a dick to a trans person.

My boss used to do a ladies day out and a men's day out for a Christmas present - usually the girls went to a spa day together and the boys went car racing at the track.

I'd be appalled if my boss did this. It's the sort of thing that feeds into the genderist mindset, that women should enjoy stuff like spa days and not enjoy driving fast. If it was my place of work I'd request to go to the track with the men and claim sex discrimination if refused.

I have no idea what a spa day is, but it sounds pretty dull compared to doing a track day.

agreed! though i’ve only been to a spa once and did enjoy it but id appreciate being given the choice? like i love going fast 😂

The patron saint of twats acts just like the TRAs and pretend that pronouns have some magical power. They don’t.

the patron saint of twats lies about why she has to get a new GP.

proves herself to be just a bully time and time again. like every other twat there is.

If pronouns are meaningless, why should people care about them?
