Ironic given whether you agree/disagree with K.B she has been elected to SPEAK on behalf of others who have freely given her their vote.

Now K.B should challenge her own party that declined to legislate that misogyny against women as a hate crime. Despite sex being a P.C under the E.A. could have meant DT having to watch statements such as these and others when privileged men could potentially incite violence against women particularly those in positions of power themselves making it ok for the rest of misogynistic males.

I don't think KB is much of a supporter of hate crime legislation in general.

Hate crime legislation is a minefield with unintended and unpoliceable consequences. KB does not support it.

There are those things packaged to sound like truly lovely ideas that no one sane could argue with, like hate crime, anti misogyny laws, anti conversion therapy laws...

and then you unpack what these would actually mean and look like in practice, with the hate crime/incident legal history and evidence of how that has worked in practice, what positive and negative impacts and unexpected consequences emerged, and how it has been used by interesting political lobbies to control and manipulate others and enforce their own agenda to the detriment of others and of equality of rights for all?

And you realise that anyone with sense who really understood all this would realise that all the shiny packaging does not contain anything good at present, and whether innocently or quite intentionally is being used to manipulate you into thinking that it is pure and good and innocent and enabling other darker agendas, and is best avoided.

There are also fears it would be used as a de facto blasphemy law.

In fact you could be even more cynical and reason that that would be the main purpose of passing the law, based on the experience of the past few years.

But yes, absolutely.
