Still trying to silence women.

It won't work, lads.

You can try and shame us and smear us and tick us off. You can threaten us and abuse us and try to intimidate us. Sirens and smoke bombs and scoldings.

It doesn't work.

We won't wheesht.

JK Rowling won't 'pipe down'.

KJK won't be quiet.

Rosie Duffield won't be quiet.

None of us are going anywhere, and the more you attack us and try to stop women from speaking, the more clearly you reveal your own misogyny.

Well done to the brave women standing calmly in the face of all that aggressive noisemaking and continuing to speak.

Not this forum but I've spoken to my own networks on issues that affect my community when I speak on those (I've tried in my previous corporate role), i
Was denied a platform
By bosses -
All senior white and female

I actually was given more of a voice from my male peers on issues of inequality. There seems to be something about certain women who find it tough looking in the mirrror - they were fine when white women had the platform and criticism was of men but when I suggested they too present issues of subconscious bias etc (to me and other black and Asian women), the tables turned and platforms taken away and doors closed

Feminism it seems is only for the few privileged . I continue speaking but only in safe spaces

Well KJK who is white, puts herself in actual physical danger from unhinged deranged men to try and keep some semblance of laws for women and girls.

You are free to attend and speak but if it isn't safe enough then don't.

You seem a bit confused about the whole thing.

With all due respect I'll state my views on her and we can agree to disagree but I'm
Certainly entitled to my opinions - I can see this is a pro posie thread

I am on the side of her many critics, labour and non labour supporters- but namely

  1. Her association with the far right
  2. Her comments on gender replacement theory worry me greatly in the associations she's making - these associations would be terribly triggering for many immigrant communities and I rather not repeat them here.

But anyway enjoy her views

I don't know what 'gender replacement theory' is, and I expect neither do you, but I don't get your issue.

You don't want to go and speak and yet you don't want her or anyone else to speak.

Isn't that a little, well, doing the thing that you accused her of?

Thanks for replying. I have not heard about gender replacement theory. Could you explain a bit about it please.

BrownTroutBluesAgain · 24/06/2024 21:13

@Amy8 i can see this is a pro posie thread

There you go speaking for other women. I thought you were against others making assumptions about what women want and yet this sweeping statement is completly incorrect in your biased labelling of everyone on this thread.

I am not anti trans
I am also not in favour of women being harassed, chased and terrified when trying to speak

Which is what this thread is about!

Amy8 · 24/06/2024 21:13

>>>Thanks for replying. I have not heard about gender replacement theory. Could you explain a bit about it please.

Nearly all her rhetoric is based on the fundamental premise of men and women's biological differences and how that can't be changed -
However, she's gone further in comparing transgender issues as a take over of societal roles of men and women ( white men and women), and her rhetoric is neo nazist in its undertone even if she does claim to steer away from all that - she continues to use inflammatory language , that is very worrying and should be to most real feminists.

i have zero truck with KJK. You seem primed for a fight. We are not your enemy no matter what you think

Middle class sufragettes really got the ball rolling with votes for women, alongside working class women. would you rather they hadn't bothered?

Brefugee · 24/06/2024 21:19

Nearly all her rhetoric is based on the fundamental premise of men and women's biological differences and how that can't be changed

is she incorrect?

her rhetoric is neo nazist in its undertone even if she does claim to steer away from all that

i tend not to listen to her because she's not a feminist and i have limited time. What has she said that is neo-nazi? that would be concerning if it is being conflated with women's rights issues.

that is very worrying and should be to most real feminists

what is a "real feminist"? At the risk of repeating myself: KJK does not claim to be a feminist, in fact she has been very specific about not being a feminist. But she is consistent in her belief that a woman is an adult human female and that humans can't change sex. What is wrong in those statements?

What would you like people at LWS to say (or what would you say if you were given the microphone?)

Amy8 · 24/06/2024 21:20

Middle class sufragettes really got the ball rolling with votes for women,

Glad you excluded white from that sentence

Definitely not primed for a fight , I'll leave that to the aforementioned, I don't think she'll get far tbh so that's something.

Well, yes. It can't be.

Men cannot change into women. And men don't seem to be able to lose male pattern violence and behaviour when they do say they are women.

she continues to use inflammatory language, that is very worrying and should be to most real feminists

Women can use whatever language they want to use, surely it would be 'feminist' to allow other women their own thoughts and words? When you say 'real feminists' do you mean second wave, radical, liberal? What exactly are you comparing her to? Who says who is 'real' or not?

good question. Because it looks as though it means women should be home makers and men should be breadwinners?

That's interesting, what is it about her rhetoric that has neo nazist undertones? I've only seen videos of her campaigning for single sex spaces and for maintaining parental authority when it comes to caring for children. I am in agreement with her on these issues and on her definition of woman.

I find the constant referencing of skin colour extremely tasteless.
Not sure if it’s an attempt to label women who speak out as being racist given there’s also been a reference to Nazism,

Not a word of censure about the men and women screaming abuse, threatening violence and drowning out women's voices with their whistles and sirens.

Regardless if whether you agree with What women have to say. The fact these groups of mostly men in black that follow LWS around and try to bully them into submission is NOT ACCEPTABLE in a democratic society.

They are not the ones asking for other people to be punched, chocked sucking cock or any such.

All they saying is they don’t want to pretend the lie that sustain Trans ideology: Gender.
