This is my thought as well.
In Scotland when the Hate Crime Bill was going through Parliament, plenty of women made the argument that sex should be included as a protected characteristic in the list. But apparently there were worries that by adding it to the list, the police would be swamped with too many reports to deal with them. 🤨
And yet, all those who rejected the idea are VERY keen on a misogyny bill which will undoubtedly include men in the definition of women.
So apparently the police have no resources to deal with a tsunami of hatred against women.... But they want a shiny new piece of legislation..... That miraculously the police will be able to enforce despite being understaffed and under resourced 🤨🤨🤨
I smell bullshit and a way for certain types of politicians to manufacture more and more meaningless legislation. It's also a way for the gender zealots to push for the inclusion of men in legislation claiming to be for women - which can then be used to embed the concept of 'gender identity' into law while weaponising the law against women. You can bet a woman will be charged with 'transmisogyny'. This is an actual term used in these circles.
