KJK supports Trump

1000 replies

NefertitiV · 31/05/2024 02:36

After the Trump verdict today, KJK retweeted three supportive tweets to her timeline, including one from US ex-Fox host Megyn Kelly that says "Guilty on all counts. The country is disgraced. Alvin Bragg should be disbarred. They will rue the day they released this lawfare to corrupt a presidential election."

Another tweet makes fun of President Biden's stutter.

This is someone currently up for election herself. Given her recent remarks about barring rentals to all trans people, and the fact she has received funding from US conservative political groups, does this concern you?

I actually agree.

I don't know why posters try to obfuscate on kjk being aligned with right wing organisations?

She obviously has some now right leaning views and allies.

You don't have to agree with her.
Or deny it.

You just have to say: I don't care. I may disagree, but admire her bravery and feel no need to denounce or brand as bad right wing women.

I just choose to disagree or agree with them on various topics.

Quite!

Banning books is a ridiculous tactic straight out of the American Christian Right. Books don't corrupt people. I don't want to live in a country where books are banned. It is censorship.

(Bonus points for which GC feminist icon has had their books banned in the US for being dangerous to children).

So you think any child, at any change, should be able to read what they like?

I'm sure you do support censorship of books in schools don't you??

And the point is which books?
We need to debate that.

Do we agree Harry Potter is fine for 8 year olds?
What about books showing them how to masturbate? Where do we agree to draw the line there?

Opinions will vary and a consensus needs to be agreed.
But I'm sure we all agree some books are not appropriate for children.
The question is which ones.

It isn't gaslighting. It was a way to get you to say that you know full well she wasn't 'sponsored' by them.

They offered to cover her insurance. If she negotiated flights as well, then good on her. It's an expensive business disrupting two whole nations in one go. Money well spent.

Alison, it is the very definition of sponsoring to pay for a person to fly somewhere and their insurance to attend/appear at events:
“to pay for someone to do something or for something to happen.”

I really don’t know why you are even objecting to it. It’s not like being sponsored is a bad thing. Every donation made to KJK is also sponsoring her. Crowd funding is crowd sponsoring from the donor pov.

Do you think we can get a screen shot or link to the 'Trump is her man' quote (in an election she cannot vote in) by the end of the thread?

I'm sure you know how to use Google and TwiX alison

MalagaNights · 04/06/2024 10:23

CassieMaddox · 04/06/2024 10:16

Quite!

Except this isn't what you are saying either.

You claim right wing positions are intolerable or evidence of bad people.

Others claim she's not right wing.

I'm saying she is & that's ok. Normal. Acceptable.

NefertitiV · 04/06/2024 10:24

@MalagaNights

Which of the books mums for liberty wants out of schools do you want in?
Hmm. They want 'The Handmaid's Tale' banned, for starters. 'Of Mice and Men', 'Forever' (Judy Blume), 'To Kill a Mockingbird', 'Fahrenheit 451'.

Even if you disagree with all the above, it's hardly the proof of evil you seem to think it is.
I never said it was 'evil'. This is silly.

Yes. If they can comprehend it and are interested in what it says they are old enough to read it and talk about the ideas.
I'd far rather bring my children up to be curious on a range of topics and able to assess and analyse information to draw their own conclusions, than censor what they read and try to pretend the world isn't what it is.

I'm far more concerned about widespread violent degrading porn on the Internet than books. Strangely something neither Moms for Liberty nor KJK seem to want to address.

ItsFunToBeAVampire · 04/06/2024 10:27

I absolutely think borderline pornographic books should be banned from schools. Oh no, I must be a far-right Trump supporter now!

Where did I do that?
I don't like fascists and the far right. Mainly because they caused a huge genocide of Jews and a war that killed and maimed a huge number of people, and oppressed millions more. The far right is dangerous, in my opinion. Don't think I'm particularly unusual in thinking that.

I think they want age limits on some of those books?

But I'm not sure.

But we could have a discussion about what books are appropriate in schools.
I suspect I'd fall somewhere between your position of anything goes and mums for liberty.

The point is there are a range of opinions.

You and mom's for liberty are both quite the extreme end, but views worthy of debate.

EasternStandard · 04/06/2024 10:31

No even a blink of diversion from KJK to any left wing equivalents, do none exist?

No wonder she’s doing so well. It’s the detractors doing her work for her.

NefertitiV · 04/06/2024 10:31

@EasternStandard

Op do you follow left wing funders or similar disrupters who you approve of? Are they doing things like flying to NZ and risking their life so women can speak?

Like I said earlier in the thread, I follow people from all over the spectrum. I'm discussing KJK specifically here.

It's all in the inferences made from the op onwards.
That right wing is bad.
Not just a different point of view.

Left views have led to more genocide, but the same inferences are not made about anyone who has left views.
It's accepted there are left reasonable opinions and that not everyone left is far left bordering on genocidal.

I do. I posted one this morning, with KJK having a pop at the right.

I notice that was completely ignored.

If you have a claim, that she said 'Trump is her man' then just simply post a link or take a screenshot. It's pretty simple to do.

We don't have anyone powerful in the UK, Europe or the US showing any signs of far left (communism). Same cannot be said for far right unfortunately. It is a real threat.

The fact posters on this thread are relaxed about censorship shows the risk is there.

I'm far more concerned about widespread violent degrading porn on the Internet than books. Strangely something neither Moms for Liberty nor KJK seem to want to address.

One of the banned books was “Let’s Talk About It” It gives invaluable information to teens about how to send sexual images to each other, butt plugs and promotes porn as a “fun, sugary treat”.

https://www.skynews.com.au/australia-news/inside-the-explicit-book-encouraging-children-to-sext-and-watch-porn-as-a-sugary-treat-as-calls-grow-for-the-material-to-be-removed-from-australian-public-libraries/news-story/1730d3536e3f62302a3c9b95e37cc321

I take a different stance to you, I agree that porn is too easily accessed but I don’t want them also accessing pictures of butt plugs at school. I want them to be aware of sexual boundaries, not how much fun anal play is 🙄.

Calls for kids book about porn, sexting to be removed from libraries

A graphic book about sex that encourages minors to look up porn and tells them how to send naked pictures of themselves to their peers has sparked outrage, and prompted calls for it to be removed from display in Australian libraries.

Do you start threads about them? You can’t take your eye off KJK for one post to even offer a name for someone on the left. Do you see why that’s not helping you?

You really can’t complain that KJK gets ahead when you’re promoting her name online. It’s an easy win for her with all these posts and threads.

Sorry it's @CassieMaddox who said anything goes.

I'd fall somewhere between Cassie and MFL.

These are both extreme views imo, but acceptable opinions to express.

I'd hope state education for everyone's children would make more moderate decisions which reflected more mainstream views.

Nefer listed these: 'The Handmaid's Tale', 'Of Mice and Men', 'Forever' (Judy Blume), 'To Kill a Mockingbird', 'Fahrenheit 451'.

I've read all of them. None of them should be banned. Children who are too young for the content will find them totally dull. Children who are old enough to be interested will learn some valuable things.

I'm 100% sure teachers and schools absolutely are careful to pick age appropriate material. That's why parents campaigning to ban books is ridiculous IMO. It is not "moderate". It's a censorship tactic commonly employed by extremists.
