KJK is appealing for people to stand as candidates, and to be agents, helpers, canvasers etc. She is also gardening at Give Send Go - Party Of Women Election Campaign. I know she knows PoW won't get anywhere but I hope she makes a few waves, takes a few votes and maybe by doing that disrupts what might have been a smooth election for any complacent ignorers of women's rights.

This is ridiculous 😬

It’s a party of women - clue in the name, fronted by a woman, clue in the picture. Read more if you want.

Do people know that sites are sometimes designed with an image for impact and you can find out more? In this case it’s likely a low cost site without the same size team behind it as the major parties

Any answer on what the actual problem is?

Of all the things people pick over not having the right words, is that it?, on a site is.. god it’s just silly at this point.

It looks like what I’d expect for a very small party, no issues here

Hence asking what others are suggesting, without saying it. What’s the problem for them?

Oh go on. I’m always willing to help someone who is struggling. The OP is about the PoW. A concern has been raised that it has gone off topic as it’s discussing KJK, because apparently no one ever discusses other party leaders when talking about their parties (hmm). A comparison has been drawn with other single issue parties. Single issue parties tend to put that single issue front and centre. So you might for example expect ‘protect single-sex spaces’ or ‘repeal the GRA’ to appear on the PoW home page. You might expect more than 4 lines on a About Us page. You might expect an indication of how they would achieve their aims. Or you might not. I guess there must be people happy to stand as candidates without that detail. We’ll find out how many next week.

I hope that has helped you understand the really rather basic direction of the thread.

‘It’s a party of women’

If these boards have taught us anything it’s being ‘of women’ doesn’t indicate a single view

🤷‍♀️ you have given the site a lot of thought. Maybe it’ll get back and changes will be made to your liking

Remember though if you’re comparing major parties sites to this one they’ll have a whole team to create it, from copywriters to messaging people and funding etc

PoW is no where near that so maybe manage your expectations a little

One strapline.

Protect Single-Sex Spaces
Repeal the GRA

I’m sure you’re not suggesting that needs a whole team.

it usually does actually you’d be surprised how much people pay for the right line

I don’t know if either of those would be correct as a way to sum up the site or party

I’m very surprised that you think KJK is incapable of coming up with something snappy to put on the home page.

If you’re recruiting members & candidates it might be a good idea to have a bit more information about what you’re about.

It doesn’t bother me at all, I know you want it on there

However you are asking her to create a line when other leaders will have teams to do it for them. Maybe she’s focussing on other stuff and your immediate focus is not the same for her, or anyone really

Yes it’s complex. I don’t think either of the two suggested below are it but if the pp tries to sum up the party they’ll likely find it is actually pretty hard to do

Agencies get paid a load to do it for a reason, it’s not easy

About Us

And there it was.

No one knows why LRM was chucked on the scrap heap soon after PoW were put up in the same constituency as his Labour strong hold. Either it had nothing to do with PoW, or Labour didn’t want RM to have an uncontrolled temper tantrum when faced with KJK. Thereby raising the issue of women’s rights to the forefront - Labours position (that women as we know them don’t exist) would be clear for all to see. Who knows.

I’ll vote for PoW if they’re on my ballot paper.

You are seriously comparing the SNP to the BNP? 😱That is utterly ridiculous

BacktoLurk did it for free! She seems to have managed the rest of the website OK, it's just rather light on content.

How is she planning to do that?
Also I don't personally think people should be able to go round calling other people "child abusers" with impunity. That goes against our principles of basic justice and is potentially defamatory too.

Also false dichotomy there. There are other options, including one where someone made a complaint about him that requires investigation. I wouldn't rule that out given his general behaviour.

TheRozzers · 29/05/2024 21:48

I don't think KJK can be taken seriously as a politician after this video:

x.com/harlequinpub/status/1794066001803243572?s=46

Stating sex is real and immutable is fine.

Encouraging discrimination against trans people isn't okay.

Wow! What utter nonsense. I work with a couple of trans women. I’m GC but I don’t recognise the bile in that video at all - they are hard working and good at their jobs. What a stupid thing to say 🙄🤬

I think the Cass report told us they were. It’s medical scandal.

That’s part of the first option - it had nothing to do with kjk. Although I suppose she Could have made the ‘vexatious ’ complaint 8yrs ago.

Lucky you. The endless threats, acts of violence, hatred and harrassment KJK has received from gender ideologues is publically recorded and clear every every time she tries to hold an event to let women speak.

I don't think Cass found that "transitioning children is abuse" at all.

At risk of hamster wheel, KJK doesn't say who is included in "transitioning children" Or what counts as "transition". If she wants to talk about Cass, she should say that. Not make a blanket statement saying "transitioning children is abuse" as this catches a number of parents and professionals trying to do the best for a particular child in challenging circumstances. They don't need random "abuser!" judgement for that.
