The OP is about the Party of Women, not KJK, yet so many of the nay-sayers are focussing on KJK.
If this was a thread about another single-issue political party, like the SNP (Scottish Independence) or Plaid Cymru (Welsh Independence) for example, then any intelligent debate would be primarily if not totally about that issue.
Political views would be polarised: for or against Scottish or Welsh Independence, as a matter of principle. Obviously there would still be some people who be for Independence but who, for whatever reason, would advocate against voting for the SNP or Plaid - and the reverse.
Despite the abysmal leadership and repugnant personalities of various leaders of both the SNP and Plaid Cymru the debate is still primarily about Independence, not off-the-cuff remarks by leaders of the SNP and Plaid.
Granted that the Party of Women is 100% more sophisticated in its message than either the SNP or Plaid Cymru; they have only the one string of Independence to their bows whereas POW is concerned about both women's rights and the protection of children.
So one might expect arguments against POW would be explicitly against women's rights and/or against the protection of children, ie. from the sort of people who describe Mumsnet as a "nest of vipers", a "transphobic hell-hole", etc.
Yet by the 10th reply off goes the squirrel! The one with KJK branded on its cute little forehead.
"Anyone thinking of supporting KJK (with cash or otherwise) should probably watch a few of her videos first. In one of her latest ones, she seemed to say (just pausing to emphasise . . . ". . . seemed . . . to . . . say . . ." . . . ". . . she . . . seemed . . . to . . . say . . . " ) that she would actively discriminate against trans people, which is a) illegal, and b) gives ammunition to the TRAs who describe anyone GC as transphobic."
Goodness me! Now look at that squirrel (GappyTales) zig-zagging around like it's got a banger up its backside:
Wow! Now watch these squirrels doing acrobatics on the washing line!
"There are good reasons why many prominent people in the GC movement have distanced themselves from KJK (eg Maya Forstater, Sarah Phillimore, Jane Clare Jones, Sex Matters organisation, Helen Joyce etc)."
So what is the big deal with people coming on this thread to dump bucket loads of squirrels on it and distract discussion of the actual OP: the Party of Women?
Is it:
a) I am against women's rights and/or the protection of children.
b) I don't prioritise women's rights and/or the protection of children.
c) I don't give a shit about women's rights and/or the protection of children, I just get a kick out of trolling those hags/domesticated zombies on Mumsnet.
d) I really, really do care about women's rights and/or the protection of children and I honestly think that the best way to demonstrate that I really, really do care is to . . . erm . . . to slag off the leader of the only political party that . . . erm . . . prioritises women's rights and the protection of children above all else.
e) I genuinely think that there are better ways to increase public understanding of the need to prioritise women's rights and/or the protection of children but, you know, I am so much hating fascist, Nazi KJK who is actually, literally Hitler that it has turned my brain into porridge.
Bonus question! Just for fun, try substituting "Scottish Independence" for "women's rights and/or the protection of children" in each of those answers.
Here is a graph showing how long it took for support for Scottish Independence to rise enough to have any significant impact on the fortunes of the SNP.
But, no sweat, it's 2024 and the great and the good globally still need to be convinced that women actually exist.
