KJK is appealing for people to stand as candidates, and to be agents, helpers, canvasers etc. She is also gardening at Give Send Go - Party Of Women Election Campaign. I know she knows PoW won't get anywhere but I hope she makes a few waves, takes a few votes and maybe by doing that disrupts what might have been a smooth election for any complacent ignorers of women's rights.

The only time one can waste is one's own.

But yeah, if that thread was a sofa, I'd be embarrassed to leave it out for the council to collect.

You not only apparently wasted your time a number of times, you sat on that embarrassing sofa. So there's that.

You could have just ignored it.

BezMills · 31/05/2024 13:47

Je ne regrette rien

InWithPeaceOutWithStress · 31/05/2024 17:36

She used to talk in a cogent articulate way, back in 2018. I find her impossible to listen to now due to the constant shrieking outrage. It’s painful. It’s clearly a popular style with some though.

IdealHomeExhibition · 31/05/2024 17:52

I agree with her. Why should you be allowed to parade your fetish out in the open? It is part of their fetish to get others to go along with it.

I dont wish to be part of a man's fetish or witness it. And they get off on wearing women's clothes to work and in public. It's the same as saying you wouldn't rent a house or employ someone who turned up to view the place or an interview in chaps smeared in vaseline. It needs gone.

Keep your kinks private thank you.

AdamRyan · 31/05/2024 18:34

Did you listen to what she actually said? It was way beyond that.
She also hasn't apologised, just said she is "unfiltered" and won't change.

She didn't say that though. She said Trans are lazy and wouldn't pay the rent.

Rightsraptor · 01/06/2024 09:41

They'd just set up crowdfunder for the rent though, @Justcats. There are enough mugs out there.

The OP is about the Party of Women, not KJK, yet so many of the nay-sayers are focussing on KJK.

If this was a thread about another single-issue political party, like the SNP (Scottish Independence) or Plaid Cymru (Welsh Independence) for example, then any intelligent debate would be primarily if not totally about that issue.

Political views would be polarised: for or against Scottish or Welsh Independence, as a matter of principle. Obviously there would still be some people who be for Independence but who, for whatever reason, would advocate against voting for the SNP or Plaid - and the reverse.

Despite the abysmal leadership and repugnant personalities of various leaders of both the SNP and Plaid Cymru the debate is still primarily about Independence, not off-the-cuff remarks by leaders of the SNP and Plaid.

Granted that the Party of Women is 100% more sophisticated in its message than either the SNP or Plaid Cymru; they have only the one string of Independence to their bows whereas POW is concerned about both women's rights and the protection of children.

So one might expect arguments against POW would be explicitly against women's rights and/or against the protection of children, ie. from the sort of people who describe Mumsnet as a "nest of vipers", a "transphobic hell-hole", etc.

Yet by the 10th reply off goes the squirrel! The one with KJK branded on its cute little forehead.

"Anyone thinking of supporting KJK (with cash or otherwise) should probably watch a few of her videos first. In one of her latest ones, she seemed to say (just pausing to emphasise . . . ". . . seemed . . . to . . . say . . ." . . . ". . . she . . . seemed . . . to . . . say . . . " ) that she would actively discriminate against trans people, which is a) illegal, and b) gives ammunition to the TRAs who describe anyone GC as transphobic."

Goodness me! Now look at that squirrel (GappyTales) zig-zagging around like it's got a banger up its backside:

Wow! Now watch these squirrels doing acrobatics on the washing line!

"There are good reasons why many prominent people in the GC movement have distanced themselves from KJK (eg Maya Forstater, Sarah Phillimore, Jane Clare Jones, Sex Matters organisation, Helen Joyce etc)."

So what is the big deal with people coming on this thread to dump bucket loads of squirrels on it and distract discussion of the actual OP: the Party of Women?

Is it:

a) I am against women's rights and/or the protection of children.

b) I don't prioritise women's rights and/or the protection of children.

c) I don't give a shit about women's rights and/or the protection of children, I just get a kick out of trolling those hags/domesticated zombies on Mumsnet.

d) I really, really do care about women's rights and/or the protection of children and I honestly think that the best way to demonstrate that I really, really do care is to . . . erm . . . to slag off the leader of the only political party that . . . erm . . . prioritises women's rights and the protection of children above all else.

e) I genuinely think that there are better ways to increase public understanding of the need to prioritise women's rights and/or the protection of children but, you know, I am so much hating fascist, Nazi KJK who is actually, literally Hitler that it has turned my brain into porridge.

Bonus question! Just for fun, try substituting "Scottish Independence" for "women's rights and/or the protection of children" in each of those answers.

Here is a graph showing how long it took for support for Scottish Independence to rise enough to have any significant impact on the fortunes of the SNP.

But, no sweat, it's 2024 and the great and the good globally still need to be convinced that women actually exist.

If you knew nothing about PoW and went to their website, what do you think would be your first impression of the ‘single issue’ it has been set up to address.
Bonus points for showing something from the home page to support your conclusion.

The "single issue" is right there in front of your face: "Party of Women".

You realise that your challenge does not change the fact that this particular thread is about the Party of Women?

In the same way that other threads are about, for example, The Labour Party rather than Keir Starmer, The Lib Dems rather than Ed Davey, the Conservative Party rather than Rishi Sunak, etc.

Rather dodgy "salute" on the SNP home page, BTW. Good job Swinney wasn't fiddling straightening his tie with his other hand his fingers outstretched. Then again, the SNP are both nationalists and socialists so who knows? Dog whistles all over the place these days. Shocking stuff!

So it’s set up to address the ‘single issue’ of ‘women’?

And yea, it’s definitely true that when the LP is mentioned no one talks about Starmer. Absolutely no one has ever suggested anything about the trans status of one of his children. Definitely has never happened.

Party of Women is not a partly like the Conservatives, Labour, Reform, SNP etc. It has barely any candidates standing in very few constituencys. KJK can't event decide her own constituency and strategy. It's either a fledgling party which might fall out of the nest after the GE or a KJK click bait generator.

What is your issue with the site?

I’m not sure what you’re suggesting

AdamRyan · 02/06/2024 10:37

Also why have you cropped the words off the photos of Labour and the Lib Dems? It's rather a misleading way to compare the parties home pages. Suggest people Google if they are interested.

I don’t see the issue you are suggesting is there. It’s just easier if you say

What is it?

I guess it’ll just stick with you

AdamRyan · 02/06/2024 10:54

What's the issue with you googling and saying what you think the home page tells you about PoW Eastern? Its a really simple question.

EasternStandard · 02/06/2024 10:58

It looks like what I’d expect for a very small party, no issues here

Hence asking what others are suggesting, without saying it. What’s the problem for them?

That's not an answer to the question.
From the home page, what single issue is PoW about?
