Just as the title says really! Is that your only thought about who you'll vote for, or will you look at wider policies? Been getting lots of information through my letter box recently, and none mention it.

Yes I am. Conservatives have Kemi Badenoch and Miriam Coates and Victoria Atkins.

It's a single issue that I am passionate about.

IBelieveInFerries · 30/04/2024 13:40

No. This all happened under a Conservative government. They don't give a shit about women or childen.

The area I live in has been a safe Conservative seat since.. ever. I will probably hold my nose and vote lib dem.

Thinkbiglittleone · 30/04/2024 13:41

No, the conservatives have had long enough to sort this out and chose not to. They have so many other things I see as so damaging to this country and I still don't think they will make women a priority.

AmaryllisNightAndDay · 30/04/2024 13:29

Purely? No. Heavily? Yes.

Same

Theeyeballsinthesky · 30/04/2024 13:42

For the first time im too fucked off with the lot of them to vote at all

Tukmgru · 30/04/2024 13:43

Constantly baffled that people who claim to be single issue voters on this are saying they’ll vote Tory. It’s idiotic. They’ve been in charge for 14 years. They’re responsible for everything that has happened on this issue that you hate. Just because they’re spinning with the wind againer it now - again after FOURTEEN YEARS - doesn’t mean anything, and you’re a fool if you think it does.

IsadoraQuagmire · 30/04/2024 13:43

Yes.

Teddleshon · 30/04/2024 13:45

Yes

FoulWrinkledWitch · 30/04/2024 13:45

Yes

The Tories will get the economy back on track?!! WTF?

Please don't tell me you're still falling for the PR about Tories being a safe pair of hands. That's all it is, PR!

Who has been in power for well over a decade now?

They are responsible for the dire state of the economy!

If the economy is your issue, you'd be mad to vote for these clowns.

Who do you suggest I vote for from a bad bunch?

YetAnotherSpartacus · 30/04/2024 13:47

No. The Tories have had ages to put this right and they have not. I will not chase after their dangling carrot while they fuck over other disadvantaged groups.

3peassuit · 30/04/2024 13:49

I’m the mother of a disabled adult. I’m scared that the Tories will make disabled people’s lives even harder. I will vote labour but I’ll hold my nose whilst doing so.

newnamethanks · 30/04/2024 13:53

Vote for this bunch of shysters and conmen who have trashed our country? Are you OK?

ScrollingLeaves · 30/04/2024 13:55

Quite possibly. Look at the thread ‘Sir Kier Starmer on GMB news’
His answers are too obfuscating and stupid to make him a person to vote for as PM.

It is not just about ‘trans’ it is the lying in institutions, the destruction of children's lives, it is the non-speak which means he won’t answer.

This does not necessarily mean voting Conservative for me though and I am not quite sure what to do. I feel angry with them for lots of things too.

ginasevern · 30/04/2024 13:55

Lostmum1906 · 30/04/2024 13:25

Yes, I feel the Tories will get the economy back on track and the trans issue is a big deal to me.

Did I just read that correctly? You think the party that has brought the country to its knees over the last 15 years will get it back on track?

Why don't you just be honest and say you are a Tory.

Beowulfa · 30/04/2024 13:57

Its just the Twat Olympics

I might write this on my ballot paper, in the (likely) absence of a decent, sensible independent candidate.

As others have said, it's not the "transgender issue". It's a women and girls' rights issue and a reality issue.. Also a looming medical scandal that's going to cost the taxpayer £££££s. I accept there will be guff and bluster from politicians, but I don't expect to be outright lied to, patronised and taken for a fucking idiot.

Because Im not, I am a lone parent of a sen child. But I believe in good economics and currently with the gender issues at play, its tipping me in the balance of the Tories as it too is v close to my heart.

Litterpicking · 30/04/2024 14:00

Spoiled my postal ballot by writing next to the Labour candidate "Respect and support women's rights". It's a solid Labour area but I'm hoping someone might glance at the spoiled papers.

Whereareyourshoes · 30/04/2024 14:02

Yes. I care about many, many issues but reality matters

I will not vote for any candidate of any party who lies that TWAW.

My constituency is likely to be Lib Dem again but they have disgusted me with their attitude towards women’s rights.

ManchesterBeatrice · 30/04/2024 14:02

No.

greenlettuce · 30/04/2024 14:03

Yes - I think this is a fundamental issue that threatens society and has caused huge damage to impressionable young people and vulnerable adults. I will be voting Conservative for this first time due to this issue.

ZeldaFighter · 30/04/2024 14:05

No, I'm voting Labour for other issues such as the economy, the NHS, local services....

MissScarletInTheBallroom · 30/04/2024 14:05

Yes.

Labour can't win in my constituency so it's a two horse race between the Tories and the Lib Dems.

I'm currently weighing up whether I can afford to spoil my ballot or whether I have to hold my nose and vote Tory for the first time ever to keep the Lib Dem nutter out.

BrieOnToast · 30/04/2024 14:07

The Tory party have had years to sort this out and it's only got worse under their watch. They could have stopped this at any point, but they chose to indulge these men and give away women's rights.

CremeBruleeLove · 30/04/2024 14:09

Dandel10n · 30/04/2024 13:01

No. The Labour Party have hugely pissed me off on this issue, but overall I feel that the Conservatives are just so bad for the country and I disagree with them on so many other things that my priority is to vote against them.

This.
For god's sake vote them out!
