Good.. I think this is one area at least where we shouldn't have to try and be "inclusive" if you're feeding a baby milk from your own body, it's breast not chest... Always has been and always should be.

@Betterifido and @WeightoftheWorld (and oh I am feeling that username today) I hassled Coppafeel on Twitter and this is their response.

  1. Thanks for the feedback - we want everybody to feel proud of their chests. We try to use a range of terminology to ensure all people (particularly those who face barriers to checking and accessing healthcare) are reached through our work. CONT.
  2. We would never rule out using boobs or breasts entirely, but we have added the term chest to ensure that people who feel isolated by more gendered terms are also included [patronising heart emoticon]

I have said that they are alienating lots of women, and not just those for whom English is a second language. I will keep you updated.

But they HAVE stopped using boobs and breasts entirely! It's not been in any of the text reminders for what, the past 12 months or so?

@WeightoftheWorld And they now have some kind of bot giving me the same explanation again. Not doing themselves any favours.

No surprise there- trans lobby groups have been calling for years for the end of single sex spaces (and the ability of women to say no to males being present when they are undressed or vulnerable, or for example women/girls who don't consent to males carrying out intimate care/ touch on their bodies). TRAs don't want both single and mixed sex spaces so everyone can access services (or even favourable access to single rooms as has been suggested in the NHS consultation). Please respond to the consultation- it's out now!

Trans activism is a men's rights movement- an attempt to end female privacy, dignity and safety from men, and legalise the abuse of women. Degradation of women (and cruelty/ exclusion from services of women who won't submit to trans activism) is welcomed.

Evidence of calls to remove single sex exemptions from Equality Act - Woman's Place UK

Violence against women and sex discrimination still exist. Women need reserved places, separate spaces and distinct services.

It’s not a men’s rights movement, these men have the same rights as any other man, it’s a men’s privilege movement. Let’s start calling it what it is please.

Chariothorses · 01/05/2024 10:14

Yes agreed- having the same rights as other men isn't enough for some.

It’s the old give them an inch and they will take a mile principle, the more they get, the more they want.
