"The Spanish equivalent to Stonewall (FELGTB) has been fuming some days because of those military guys who changed their legal sex to female without doing anything else (and keeping beards, wives, everything!), because they were proving us feminists so right.

So finally FELGTB have decided to sue the military guys (who created an organisation called "Non Normative Trans People" (TNN in its Spanish acronym) for "fraud". But TNN have doubled down and said that they are going to sue FELGTB for transphobia, because no reason has to be given for changing your ID and the law says you can't be questioned."

How transphobic of FELGTB, who are they to gatekeep transness?!

Gosh, there's videos on youtube with them marching - all the tassels dancing about gaily, someone tossing a ceremonial stick, and a goat.

It all looks very gay to me 😂

At least this uniform negates any need for the famous genital inspectors to ask to see inside anyone's pants. Genital status is kind of shrink wrapped and out there on display, as it were.

It's a very sprightly goat. And keeps good time.

Here they are in full song, carring a statue of a man stripped to a loincloth and apparently well oiled.

I'm trying to work out if the head tilt is an official part of the march/uniform, or if they're just trying to keep the tassels out of their eyes.

I was wondering about the head angle - they can't possibly see where they are planting their feet.

But the showmanship is superb! It's all about the drama and the appearance of the thing. They're very conscious that they have a reputation as the World's Sexiest Legion to maintain.

At the same time they are obviously very well trained and disciplined. There's one video which has a bit of synchronised rifle juggling (for want of a better term) and trumpet/flag spinning.

I imagine they all have serious whiplash.

Aren't they like the Spanish version of the French Foreign Legion? Who also march fast, IIRC (I used to know a few chaps who joined that lot)
