The Hate Crime...crime(?) comes into force on 1st April, according to the article. The SNP has not engaged with any of the organisations who have expressed concerns and no-one knows what, if any, training the Police have been given.

If they arrest JK Rowling for calling a man a man it's not only going to peak Scotland. It's going to send a wave through the EU and maybe even the US.

Years ago I would have never thought that the biggest moments in reversing gender ideology lunacy would be a beer can and JK Rowling's arrest.

The reality is they'll probably try and brush it under the carpet.
e.g Markus Meechan ( Count Dankula ) and the Nazi pug. The sentence was an £800 fine. He raised almost £200K for an appeal and refused to pay the fine. The police took the money directly out of his bank account against his wishes. They also accidentally on purpose forgot to do the formal paperwork properly which would have given him notice of their plans.
As much as I believe JKR would go to prison for women's rights I also believe the corrupt shits in power will do everything they can to deal with this in a sneaky, underhand, possibly illegal way. This is Scotland after all. Campervans for me but not for thee.
I have no doubt JKR will put on a good show though. Perhaps she moves her "official" residence to outside of Scotland and they have to try and extradite her from England. That cound be funny.This crazy new thought crime law only applies in Scotland right?

I think it would be very funny if every gender critical woman in Scotland went to her local police station at an agreed time on April 1st to report herself for hate crime.
They'd have stroppy women in every cell, interview room, waiting area in Scotland they'd probably have to put a few in the chief inspector's office. And if every woman took some appropriately coloured knitting or crochet to occupy herself with, there would be suffragette scarves all over the canteen.
And this awful law would be dead by lunchtime.
Very unlikely but it's a thought that made me smile.

Despite giving away so much of her wealth, JKR must still be one of the highest individual tax payers in Scotland. I believe that her children have now all left school. What's to keep her in Scotland? If she leaves for England or elsewhere over this nonsense, the Scots will be poorer in many ways.

I would really love some sort of coordinated event where GC women all break this law together in Scotland after April 1. I for one am willing to travel!

And as well as the tax she pays in Scotland, she is a major donor to the The Anne Rowling Regenerative Neurology Clinic at Little France in Edinburgh (Scotland has the highest incidence of MS in the UK at 1 in 350 people) and completely funds Beira's Place in Edinburgh as the Scottish Government shamefully refuses to use public funds to provide single sex rape crisis provision in Edinburgh and the Lothians. And she's apparently a big donor of many other services in Scotland.

Mebbe scotgov should think on this, I suspect jks tax bill pays for a lot of stuff, if she moves out they will lose that.
And the reverse, maybe jk should be pissed off at scotgov spaffing her tax contributions on such things as this law, yet still no ferries.
