The Hate Crime...crime(?) comes into force on 1st April, according to the article. The SNP has not engaged with any of the organisations who have expressed concerns and no-one knows what, if any, training the Police have been given.

I reckon if I'd had Vegemite before I knew Marmite existed i'd be perfectly happy with Vegemite. So I don't dislike it, but it does come after Marmite and Bovril on my list of things I'll happily eat.

It occurs to me that if you don't have suitable stock, or just as a matter of preference, you could use marmite (or one of the alternatives) in the bean recipe.

I haven't got any at the moment, DH doesn't like it and I keep forgetting to ask him to get some. I've got a jar of meridian yeast extract which I bought out of curiosity. I'd guess not many people except veggies on low salt diets buy it more than once.

It was so sad though to see them sat there outside in the rain.

I will admit I eventually relented and let them back in.

In addition to fig rolls being tasty they are also excellent for preventing constipation. When lactulose failed - and tasted foul - they were the solution to my kids constipation issues. They also have a good range of vitamins like potassium, calcium, magnesium. I hope the little mite doesnt get constipated but if it does you know what to do.....

Aren't "non crime hate incidents" whatever the complainant wants them to be? Would love to see IW in court defending a case for defamation and harassment, that's two of "cut-and-dried offence as far as I’m concerned."

The only and best way to poach eggs is in shakshuka, but in desperation last night when we got home, hungry, tired, soooo much washing, I did poach eggs in water. I just could not face another takeaway.

I've just lost a friend over this - a woman I have always thought had good sense and critical thinking skills. She forwarded a comment to me on Instagram, saying that she thought JKR should be hit in the face for her views on IW. I politely pointed out all the comments and harassment from IW towards JKR, and asked what JKR had said in reply that was untruthful or transphobic? The answer was a mouthful of abuse and ranting. I don't think the friendship can come back from that.
