No sensible woman would want to be PM now and blamed for what is likely to be a considerable defeat.
I dunno actually, it depends on what their future plans are. The next GE could be almost a year away if we go as late as possible. Obviously the political career of whoever takes the Tories into the next GE is going to be over at that point, but you can still do lots of well paid things as an ex PM.
That said, I get the impression Kemi has her eye on becoming Leader of the Opposition.
