London Bridge railway station political gender flags - how to complain

There is a lot of concern on twitter over a set of flag illustrations on a pillar at London Bridge Station.

Sex Matters have now issued a formal complaint to the authorities about it see letter below.

This has resulted in the discovery that Shane Andrews, Network rail’s LGBT+ lead, who is also a scout leader (and a trustee of the Scouts), an independent police custody inspector, a school governor - used abusive sexist/homophobe slang all over his social media. He went on a huge deleting spree, but copies of his tweets are being shared widely.

We're accustomed to ill-concealed misogyny but it would be beyond disturbing to have somebody with this social media history sitting on a panel that celebrates women and their achievements.

It would be difficult to accept the decision-making involved.

Scouts have tweeted Shane has been booted out.

I can see Twitter screenshots of this from Daily Mail story but I didn't take that as meaning he's been booted, more that he hasn't been involved since then. (I'd like to be wrong, I'd like Scouts to have taken +ve action.)

Mr Andrews was awarded an MBE in the 2021 New Year's Honours Lists for his work to boost inclusivity, referencing his work as a Scout leader. He is no longer a member of the Scouts.
At the time Network Rail described the achievement as 'instrumental in helping us become more reflective of the communities we serve'.

On a more recent tweet, Scouts say he hasn't been a member for 2.5 years. So it seems he was already gone.

I bet the scouts were glad that was the news they were able to convey! Otherwise they'd have been having to answer questions about a guy who likes taking fotos of cute young men without them knowing.

So, this wasn't a positive action by the Scouts but a confirmation that he'd not been active with them or a member for some time.

BTW, given the FWR interest in trustees, it seems Andrews was a trustee of his Cardiff East district of the Scout Association. In addition to being a school governor, independent Police custody inspector etc.

Thing is, all those awful posts have been on his social media for years under his name. Did no one in the various organisations he's been involved in notice?

The Palace obviously does no due diligence about its awards nor who it invites to Garden Parties and such!

I'm beginning to regard these awards as an index of suspicion and wonder if they're any more than a Third Sector stepping stone to the carousel.
