Hm. I should be cleverer in future...!

Cheewawa · 10/12/2023 20:53

I gave my full details. I have no shame in stating this vile pedo is a man.

ScrollingLeaves · 10/12/2023 20:57

IcakethereforeIam · 10/12/2023 18:07

They probably would have done, if it hadn't meant first admitting he's trans.

I am sure you are right!

Baldieheid · 10/12/2023 20:59

Oh I'm not shamed, I've been very open about being sick of this shit on my social media, and have lost friends as a consequence. I just don't trust the bbc or the police. Not one teeny bit. The police in particular are deeply concerning in their political bias and have proved multiple times that they're prepared to bark on command.

ScrollingLeaves · 10/12/2023 21:03

Mightn’t they check your name and address against the voting register to verify you, but dismiss your complaint if they don’t match up? That’s what I somehow thought so I didn’t dare fill in the GMP complaint form.

I did do the BBC and trust them with my name and address.

Rosiestweetlikes · 10/12/2023 21:09

To all the BBC apologists on here: the journalist is not some time poor trainee on a shoestring regional paper. They know full well what they are up to.

Thank you everyone who has complained to scumbbc. Sorry, I'm raging.

I have no qualms about putting my address on a complaint about fake news.

FatherJackHackettsUnderpantsHamper · 10/12/2023 21:20

Aside from all of the very wise and pertinent comments on this thread about the actual appalling crime, it's a phenomenally arrogant, narcissistic perspective for a man to believe himself capable of being a 'beauty queen'. Whatever your opinions of beauty queens, it's very clear what sex one is supposed to be.

It's not sufficient to merely dress and present in a stereotypically feminine way, in the hope that people might think that you are an actual woman (or, more likely, humour you and #bekind in pretending that they do) - but no: YOU will be the best woman out there, much better than all the actual women are at being a woman; and maybe they could then all come to you for lessons in proper womanning, so you can teach them all the natural skills that they clearly lack, but which you are a self-appointed expert in Hmm

I'll never understand why these people, who are so confident and proud in their status as trans, don't embrace that status - and instead seek to hitch a ride on somebody else's status that doesn't apply to them.

Thus:

"Transwomen are women" - this is patently false and grossly offensive to women;

"Transwomen are men" - this is biologically factual, but upsets those male people who don't want to be thought of as men;

"Transwomen are transwomen" - I don't think anybody does, or would, argue with this; and nobody is confused by it (except those who aren't sure if the term means a man presenting as a woman or a woman presenting as a man - but either way, they can clearly work it out if they encounter the person or see a photo) - so why don't they embrace it? Every time somebody calls them a woman, they insistently reply "No, I am a TRANSwoman and proud to be so".

Pluvia · 10/12/2023 21:43

I've complained to the BBC. If you scroll down past the article to the bottom of the page you'll find a Contact the BBC link and it's just a matter of filling in an online form. I've stopped using the BBC as a news source.

FatherJackHackettsUnderpantsHamper · 10/12/2023 21:45

I've stopped using the BBC as a news source.

The problem is that they presume to 'educate, inform and entertain' - but they never make it clear which category any one item actually fits into.

Catiette · 10/12/2023 21:46

Yes, @FatherJackHackettsUnderpantsHamper!

Catiette · 10/12/2023 21:47

Oh, my Yes was originally to the TWAW post… but fits for the other, too. Had never thought of it like that!

duc748 · 10/12/2023 22:20

'Educate in Rightthink' certainly seems to be a growth sector.

WinterParakeets · 10/12/2023 22:44

EtiennePalmiere · 10/12/2023 19:13

For those submitting complaints, do you give your full details ? Address, phone, full name it seems a lot

I did. I felt uneasy. But then I thought: I don't have to. There is nothing transphobic about wanting accurate records kept about women's serious crimes. And I said this in my complaint. It is not transphobic to want a serious crime committed by a transwoman, to be reported as a crime committed by a transwoman. It is male-pattern violence derived from biological malehood. These are facts not literal violence against the entire trans community..

I did point out that their reporting on this story was not educative, informative or entertaining so they had failed in their own charter.

Rightsraptor · 10/12/2023 22:52

Andrew Doyle did a brilliant monologue on GB News's Free Speech Nation this evening about this very thing.

He showed lots of delightful photos of these male criminals who pretend to be women and said the press is free to call these men whatever they wish, there is nothing legally binding imposed upon them by IPSO or Ofcom. It's just based on courtesy but, as AD said, why should we show courtesy and consideration to rapists and paedophiles?

I feel a New Year campaign coming on.

Sisterpita · 10/12/2023 23:34

@FatherJackHackettsUnderpantsHamper I agree
Transwomen are transwomen and should embrace it, I support 3rd spaces, I don’t have an issue with people choosing how they present themselves. I support 3rd spaces. My issue is that sex matters including sex based language, single sex spaces etc.

ScrollingLeaves · 10/12/2023 23:50

IdleAnimations · 10/12/2023 23:37

The wonderful Andrew Doyle spoke about this on GB News this evening.

Thank you for the link.
It is about 1:06 in.

WinterParakeets · 11/12/2023 00:17

I complained to Manchester Evening News too, which reports in the same misleading language as the BBC.

If you can be arsed, please do complain to them too. I'm sick of being silent about women's rights in case the delicate men turn vicious.I'm sick of being scared of speaking my mind.

Thanks for sharing. I wonder if this thread triggered GB News to do this piece?

Anyone else slightly weirded out that the GMP referred to the 4yo victim as ‘very vulnerable and innocent’? Surely all 4yos are that? I may be overthinking it but it almost seems like they have a threshold now for which children are considered innocent.

FatherJackHackettsUnderpantsHamper · 11/12/2023 03:16

My issue is that sex matters including sex based language, single sex spaces etc.

Yes, I completely agree with you on this. Anything that is decided/dictated by sex should be strictly adhered to: a male who identifies as a woman has no more right to use female toilets and changing rooms than does a male with no trans identity but who just likes the idea of being able to ogle women and girls in a state of undress or vulnerability.

FatherJackHackettsUnderpantsHamper · 11/12/2023 03:24

This is how the language and ideology creep begins, and it will be built upon further once the cause of the 'MAPs' gains boldness.

It will no longer be a given that all children are (obviously) to be protected. The ones who are supposedly able and happy to consent to that which any sane person knows they clearly cannot will be viewed as completely different; and it will be those of us campaigning against such ideologies who are the nasty bigots and XXXXphobes (actual emotive, loaded word to be confirmed), trying to deny children their right to free expression and freedom of choice in a world where #loveislove, regardless of age.
