Haven’t got to end of thread but typing now as so angry just want to share.
Absolutely will complain to BBC. Wonder if it’s worth complainants ticking a variety of boxes (from the factual accuracy / bias etc. drop-down)? I sometimes suspect that one reason they have this is that it makes complaints easier to reject - they can dismiss them on the basis of the single box ticked, according to their own narrow definition of it (I imagine defences of factual accuracy in this instance may refer to IPSO & the press release) without considering the wider implications of the issue itself being highlighted - which would logically include bias, as this is a distorted representation of accuracy.
Also plan to complain to police. Will read rest of thread, so if this info’s already there, apologies - but if not… how do I do this? May not be able to reply immediately but will be grateful for any link etc.
Also, MPs, perhaps?
“Woman” is bad enough, but “female” is disgraceful. It’s a decisive step towards utterly destroying the accurate reporting of sex, ever. It’s a lethal precedent. Dangerous to democracy (words mean what Big Brother says they do) & women (nothing - nothing! - left with which to describe ourselves; nothing!)
