CS, during the interview, mentions how her favourite sport during childhood was football ( indeed she played football with the boys because it was deeemed she was "too rough" for the girls) but as she grew up it became clear she would have more success in running than in football - especially if she ran against girls.

It is notable and clear that some countries have purposefully sought out athletes with DSDs in order to boost their performace ratings. How else can you explain a women's Olympic event in which the three medallists are all males with the same DSD as Semenya?

My post doesn’t prove anything. It proves Semenya is male - something you refuse to accept. It provides an opinion on tone of posts different to yours. And it provides ambivalence to the accusation of being “unkind”. So that proves what?

She is not male, she identifies as female, she is legally female. It is not for us to discriminate against her differences which are well documented.

Many people who bought into the fiction that CS is really female may find their credulity stretched if they watch CS on TV, listen to radio interviews and read the book. I wonder if, in retrospect, CS will regret the publicity.

Do you know what 5 alpha reductase deficiency is? Do you accept Semenya has that? It’s been linked to prove it. It’s in the Court of Arbitration for Sport’s ruling.

I did watch her on BBC yesterday. I was unable to listen to WH yesterday but will catch up today. It won't change my opinion because she has a deep voice.

Male and female are biological significators. Even people with a DSD are either male or female, as DSDs are disorders of either male or of female development.

'Identifying as a woman' is a social significator not a biological one. So, for example, All TW are male - by definition. You have to be male to be a TW.

CS case is complicated because for a long time her condition was not known and so her identity has been confused.

You do not need to provide evidence that someone is what they are. I am female, what evidence do I need to prove that? She is legally classed as female, just as I am, and you are (I'm assuming you're female).

CS's condition has been well documented. It is a DSD that is seen in males.

The evidence has shown that this athlete is a male athlete with 5ARD. A DSD only male humans can have.

Your repeated denials of this material reality is you spreading misinformation. You can believe whatever you wish. But you cannot change material reality.

Why do I have to repeatedly defend myself? Whether or not she is biologically male or female is quite irrelevant. She is legally female, she wants to be female, she identifies as female. Therefore to call her male is abusive.

I think you are confusing the social construction of gender with the reality of sex. One cannot change sex ever - no matter how one identifies or presents.

It has been decided that athletes with DSD conditions can be subject to certain demands or restrictions when it comes to sporting events.

Therefore to call her male is abusive
