If you were brave enough I'd post that gaslighted rape victims court case.

Along with the line: This trans person?

Rightsraptor · 05/10/2023 22:28

Very inappropriate if it's known that she's a nurse. I'd call that bringing the profession into disrepute.

Karensalright · 05/10/2023 22:30

Nurses are not supposed to post professional issues on social media report it

FitAt50 · 05/10/2023 22:30

Nothing offensive about it at all. They are just expressing a preference..

Exactly what I thought. Whenever I've worked in the public sector I've not been allowed to make political statements like this.

She has got a bad case of transhausens, though. Announced her 8yo daughter is now a boy earlier this year.

Time to delete the twat.

It's too political completely inappropriate.

napody · 05/10/2023 22:36

Eh?? Report it?!
Of course nurses are entitled to post political opinions on sm.

Rightsraptor · 05/10/2023 22:38

Ah, if she's now got a 'trans child', that explains quite a bit. Doesn't excuse it though.

Can you imagine being a Conservative voter and being looked after in hospital by her?

Doneuplikeakipper · 05/10/2023 22:38

An ex colleague of mine (NHS) got into real trouble for a Facebook post once , for bringing the hospital into disrepute. I'd report her.

welcometothepartyyy · 05/10/2023 22:41

I'm not going to report her. She's just some misplaced woman I worked with year ago no doubt all puffed up with Mermaids crap.

But she's totally in breach of NHS social media policy.

Very sad for a senior manager in peadriatic nursing to sink so low and be so unprofessional. I feel sorry for her but I have no intention of getting her into trouble at work.

Just wish she'd exercise some personal discretion.

Well if snitches get stitches, you'd best hope she's not patching you up. Her opinion. Personally I don't express mine online but I'm not about to start moaning about anyone complaining about this government bunch of arseholes.

PickAChew · 05/10/2023 22:44

I would hope a paediatric nurse could tell the difference between a boy and a girl.

SequinsandStiIettos · 05/10/2023 22:44

Ah x-post. Fair enough.

Photographsandmemories · 05/10/2023 22:46

It's just her opinion... a stupid one, but hers all the same.

I doubt she is secretly injecting Tory patients with strychnine.

No one said she was injecting her patients etc etc.

Have you never been bound by a social media policy at work?

I've always been told I can't make political statements on social media.

She just sounds like a prejudiced dick. It is really insulting to trans people as well as tories.

newskinnyminnieme · 05/10/2023 22:48

Why have you posted it then?!? If you won’t report?

god mind your own business! Don’t you have anything better to do??

Signalbox · 05/10/2023 22:48

I think people should be allowed to participate in political debate on social media. I'm intrigued what NHS social media policy says that would mean a statement like this was crossing a line. It's not personal or bullying.

Yes. I'd be tempted to bring it to her manager's attention.

Notmytotoro · 05/10/2023 22:49

she says "sharing a ward" I think she is talking about being a patient not as a medical professional..

I agree.

This is exactly my point. She's a nurse, she should treat everyone equally and she's out her squacking on the public part of her social media about her preferences.

It's really inappropriate.

I work with all kinds of clients. I don't squack about who I prefer.

It's a discussion board? Why are you here if you don't want to discuss it?

She should be careful being a nurse but FWIW I agree with her.

DivingForLove · 05/10/2023 22:59

Of course nurses can make political statements on SM! FFS this place is mental sometimes 🙄
