Employment Tribunal starts next Monday, not sure if it is available for remote viewing.

I have sent a request so we will see.

I'm curious.

Where i work, we routinely test the equipment in meeting rooms, so they don't conk out during a potentially pivotal moment.
Does anyone else do this?

And the judge is already asking where we are in the bundle. BC has the patience of a saint.

Maybe - as in many other professions - barristers fail upwards? This judge sounds unbefuckinglievably incompetent.

From this line of questioning it sounds as though the OU are going with the 'it was some academics, not the OU as an entity' defence?

Now leaning on that Jo could have just sorted it out with a conversation rather than escalating.

The OUs brief

OU brief now arguing that Jo's email response to Dr Downes was 'brusque'. Would that be argued about a man's response?

Ou brief just said Jo gave inaugural address at OU conference in May but had not mentioned this - it's right at the beginning of her witness statement (the only bit I've been able to read in breaks so far!) BC caught it and corrected of course, but does not bode well for OU if they were relying on the omission to build to a point?

One thing I've been amazed at with this whole gender debacle is how many people in professional positions think they can wing it in court (Mermaids had to be the winner of the 'genuinely thinking we can spout utter bollocks in court' award but there were several strong contenders).

Well winging it doesn't work with Ben Cooper. He knows the detail and anyone coming up against him who doesn't, well they're toast.
