Tough Crowd, due out 12 October. I’m delighted to see this. He is such a good writer and has sacrificed so much in defence of women’s rights and reality itself. Hope it’s a smash hit.

Oh blimey. What did Dara O'Briain say?

IcakethereforeIam · 27/09/2023 21:33

When I ordered mine I don't recall seeing anything about a signature. I only knew it was a possibility because of this thread.

Helleofabore · 27/09/2023 21:33

keep an eye out for your email Mary. My email came through later than others here. It will confirm whether it is signed. I think all orders through the publisher at this time are signed but it didn’t specify it being signed at the time of ordering.

Bagofcrisps · 27/09/2023 21:51

When I ordered mine direct from Eye books, it did say on the info that it would be signed.
I've just checked and can't see that anymore, so presume they are no longer able to offer signed copies.
The poor man's arm is probably worn out!
Could anyone say roughly what order number they have if they have just ordered please?
Not exact number, but just to give us an idea of how many copies have sold direct?

Abhannmor · 27/09/2023 21:52

Don't think he said anything @MaryLivingOnDreamsAndCustardCreams that's the problem. Though I could be wrong ? I didn't specify about the signature either. The email should mention it hopefully

porridgecake · 27/09/2023 21:56

The signed copy offer was sent to paid up subscribers to his substack.

Helleofabore · 27/09/2023 21:59

It was also mentioned on twitter that publisher direct sales would be signed.

My email from publisher today confirmed it is a signed copy coming when they send it out.

PaterPower · 27/09/2023 22:12

I ordered from the publisher last night and there’s no mention of it being signed, which is just unlucky for me I guess (or might prove to be a nice surprise if Glinner gets through enough copies).

Either way, glad I could make a very small difference and it can sit up on the shelf with ‘Trans’ and one of Milli Hill’s books which I bought in solidarity last year.

MaryLivingOnDreamsAndCustardCreams · 27/09/2023 21:31

I've ordered directly from the publisher but didn't see anything about the book being signed. Was it just the first so many ordered?

Yeah, same here.

MaryLivingOnDreamsAndCustardCreams · 28/09/2023 13:09

I don't mind either way really but will be a nice surprise if it is signed.

I never buy hard copies these days but wanted to show support. Would love to know how many he's sold!

I got an email this week explaining when it would be sent out and that it would be signed. I didn't know this when I first ordered it
I did give a little whoop when I found out it was a signed copy.
I hope GL has a sore hand after all the signing - I hope he's sold loads!

Abhannmor · 28/09/2023 14:26

Just looked at my confirmation email. Order sent 16/9

Order no 8900 +

Better leave it a bit vague I suppose. Though I doubt Eye Books are infested with flying monkeys.

Can't find it in any listing now. Of course it hasn't been officially published yet. Is it weird how it appeared at No 2 and then dropped out of sight . Or just me being paranoid?

Anyway it seems to be doing quite well.

rhywlodes · 28/09/2023 14:26

The book is at the printers at the moment, so I'm guessing they will be delivered to the publishers mid/late next week, where Graham will spend a couple of days (?) signing them.
Then all pre-orders will be put in the post on Monday the 9th, maybe Tuesday 10th if they can't get them all out in 1 day. Depending what postage option they use, we should get them on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Eye Books are also an Amazon seller (ie you buy through Amazon but they fulfill the order), so they might be fulfilling those orders too.

rhywlodes · 28/09/2023 14:30

I don't work for Eye Books! In a similar field though so can make an educated guess at the timelines/processes.

AnneVeronica · 29/09/2023 06:11

Has anyone suggested MNHQ get Glinner on for a webcam about his book?

MavisMcMinty · 29/09/2023 11:41

ILikeDungs · 29/09/2023 00:30

Graham talking about his book (and other things)

Thank you for this link, Vaishnavi Sundar is so interesting, off to find her film “Dysphoric” now!

PotteringPondering · 29/09/2023 14:36

New pic of Glinner on Twitter/X surrounded by piles of books, saying he's about to start signing 3,500 of them!

Looks as if everybody who ordered direct from publisher will have a signed copy...

LondonLass91 · 29/09/2023 15:09

MavisMcMinty · 28/09/2023 00:48

Yeah, same here.

Same here although they definitely wrote on Twitter that it would be signed if ordered directly with Eye Publishers x

Amazing!! Thanks for sharing.

Maaate · 29/09/2023 15:10

Do you think Glinner is regretting his offer to sign the books now 🤣

ETA, it would be interesting to compare his signature from the first copy to the last!

Vegemiteandhoneyontoast · 29/09/2023 15:23

@Maaate that went through my mind too.

NoWordForFluffy · 29/09/2023 15:39

I imagine his hand will resemble a claw by the end! 🙈🤣

Abhannmor · 29/09/2023 15:50

His hand will resemble the withered claw of Billy Bragg....
