Tough Crowd, due out 12 October. I’m delighted to see this. He is such a good writer and has sacrificed so much in defence of women’s rights and reality itself. Hope it’s a smash hit.

Just bought my audio copy. Looking forward to hearing Graham telling his story!

lechiffre55 · 26/10/2023 14:21

Got it on Audible last night. Although I have a signed copy of the book my eyes aren't great so being able to listen to it makes me very happy. That Graham is the one reading it is just an added bonus.
Thanks Graham :)

I just finished reading my copy. I loved it, and the way he speaks about his father towards the end of the book brought a tear to my eye.

Bowednotbroken · 26/10/2023 20:34

My signed copy arrived from the publishers today!!

Received my (signed) copy from Eye today, really enjoying it so far. Thanks Graham!

Just ordered from my ( very woke) local library. Fingers crossed they do actually buy it as they keep refusing other people who've ordered it.

This is where audiobooks can really come into their own. I just finished listening to it, Graham is a talented narrator, it's great to hear it as he wrote it and he has a nice voice. It was an enjoyable listen - well, considering the sad stuff.

I agree; I think I got a lot more out of his book for listening to him telling the story.

He’s got a great turn of phrase; I think he could turn his hand to novels - perhaps his unsuccessful film script about the men mistaken for Gertrude Stein & Alice B Toklas might make an amusing comic novel á la Wodehouse 🤔

He was on Sky News last night. A segment on cancelled comedians doing stand up. The part I saw was Graham saying 'they were changing the meaning of the words Woman and Mother and I didn't like that'.

XenaEcoWarriorPrincess · 04/12/2023 22:17

Just finished. A moving and poignant read, nostalgic and funny.
Thank you Graham for your bravery and courage I am still working mine up. A fine example of sticking to your principles.

On a practical note, it's a really good eye opening introduction to the uniformed so great Xmas present.

Abhannmor · 04/12/2023 23:44

Good idea 🤶 @XenaEcoWarriorPrincess . A great present for an aspiring writer or comedian. He goes into some detail about the tricks and pitfalls of writing for TV. As well as the wretched politics....

Apparently Shane McGowan spent his final month at home binge watching Father Ted. Two Irish legends..
