Why is this allowed?

I presume Sven Vukovic must be a talentless leech, who cannot sell his books on their own strength, and thus he drafts any old thing with the same title as a good, popular book and relies on making money from people buying them by mistake.

Of course, it could be an admin error, but it's a very big co-incidence having two books of the exact same name, with the 'less high-profile' one published at exactly the same time as the popular one is announced.

The Sven 'book' is barely a pamphlet, 37 pages if I understand correctly and nearly $20!

MalagaNightsand anyone else posting their order number, there are concerns expressed upthread that if there are TRAs on staff with the publisher then this information could be used to dox you.

I may well be missing something here - and I agree that giving your exact order number for the sake of it is probably unwise - but if there are TRAs on the staff who would be as unprofessional and nasty as that, if they have access to your name and address and knowledge that you've ordered a copy of this book, would they not just make the assumption that you're probably sympathetic to Glinner - or at the very least a fair-minded, balanced person who likes to consider a wide range of viewpoints that may not match your own, and thus not 'one of them' anyway?

I was going to post that a few days ago, but on reflection thought posting on here does give a bit of extra info- an online username. They'd have nothing to 'do' with an order name and address (pretty unlikely to just turn up at your home). If they have your username too they can dox you by linking your real name and address to any comments and opinions you've posted on here, and publicising that.

Ordered from my cracking LBS. I also bought Sharron Davis recent book from there too. I tried to get Prof Stock's Material Girls but it was out of print, so I ended up cancelling and kindling that one.

Pre-ordered for my kindle. Apparently #13 in Amazon's ranking of all books! Nice one, Glinner!

Apparently the publishers had huge opposition to publishing this book from "within the industry" and are overwhelmed by the number of orders. Good.
