UK women’s rights activist Kellie-Jay Keen has issued John Pesutto’s entire Victorian Liberal leadership team with defamation concerns notices, giving them 28 days to apologise and pay compensation for making “grossly misconceived, wilfully vexatious, and wretchedly false” claims, or face federal court action.

In her legal letter sent to the Liberal leader, his deputy David Southwick, upper house leader Georgie Crozier and her deputy Matt Bach on Monday, Ms Keen claims their conduct has seen her become the target of “extreme hate, abuse, harassment, and stalking”, and culminated in her “being physically attacked” and “placed in life threatening danger” at a Let Women Speak rally in New Zealand.

If Seven is showing this, I wonder if they will interview Kellie Jay. After all, this program featuring Chloe Cole and others is exactly what Kellie Jay has been talking about.

And TRAs don't really get that. If KJK loses you will hear the crowing from space. They genuinely don't grasp how broadcasting these despicable tactics across the globe strengthens people's resolve and alerts thousands more to the issue.

Just to clarify, that if 7 is doing this special - that is how it all starts. The sunlight of these programs are very powerful. They raise doubts and people start thinking critically.

In my group of friends, it was seeing the 'seahorse' program. For some it was the first time they have thought about it and thought, 'something here is not quite as it is being presented.'

Look at the power of the Newsnight report from Hannah Barnes and Deb Cohen.

If 7news also then in the next week or month after Pesutto either blinks or ignores Kellie Jay's letter, interviews Kellie Jay, it will put pressure on other channels and news outlets. It will grow.

This special will simply create another opportunity for women to discuss it on media or just informally. It would also be remarkable for 7News to interview Claire Chandler!

I would love to see Claire Chandler being asked on more panels and interviewed more.

Nah. Bez I just spend my life procrastinating trying to find the truth about this subject. I must admit that I miss Rowantrees! She seemed to know exactly where to find everything that we would be discussing.

My thing is that I have to cut through any fuckwittery to work out what is true or could be reasonably more likely to be true vs fuckwittery. People have different opinions and that is as it should be. It really helps to know if the opinions are based on truth or on falsehoods though.

What happened to Rowantrees?

As far as I know, she got pissed off with being relentlessly reported for, you know, writing accurate posts. I think the objection was they weren't short enough.
