AC has described how he can see that self ID means unfettered access to women. Men saying they're women. Which RS has down played.

Rolling Stone's 'debunking' is just pure gaslighting for women and nothing on the impact to children. So uninformed.

Sounds like Alice has a very clear and realistic view. And how can anyone claim that the idea that some men will abuse the situation if they have easy access to women’s spaces be “debunked”. Typical they simply write that unevidenced statement as if it was a fact, without explaining why he’s wrong.

He sounds eminently sensible.

This argument that 'gender expression' and 'gender identity' are not the same is sneaky. It's clear they would be the same in a lot of people's minds, and 'expressing yourself in a different gender' could lead to a new 'gender identity'.

They're obviously saying it to counter the argument that genderism is ultimately about stereotypes. 'Boys dress and behave like x, girls dress and behave like y, how you dress and behave determines how you identify and therefore what you are.' And also: 'x is a boy gender thing, girls who do x are not being girls'.

He's always seemed like a good egg who has his head screwed on. Good for him

He's got his words out there and I'm willing to bet that the majority of people reading it will be quietly agreeing that he's right, and thinking that RS are making fools of themselves.

Yes they’ve said a whole load of stuff to cover their own arses but they still ran his comments verbatim. That makes me think hmm.

They gave him the platform. He will get so much support for this. Everything he says is so sensible.

Looking at the ratio of people reading the main RS tweet (37.2k so far) and liking it (55 so far), I'm assuming most people are in agreement with Alice here. Most of the comments seem to support that viewpoint too from the ones I looked through.

Ugh. So many musicians I respected before turn out to have this horrible history. John Peel, David Bowie, Iggy Pop ...
