Best thing I ever did was cancel my TV license. I don't miss it at all. All the stuff you want to watch eventually comes onto one streaming service or other, and you know you're not supporting people who enabled Savile for YEARS and ignored many, many warnings about him whilst they these days cancel a woman because she cares about child safety.

The best you can say about the BBC is there is a form of child harming consistency in their actions.

This might be the kick up the arse I need to try and persuade my parents and brother to give up their licenses also. They could all benefit from the extra cash and they have streaming services. You really don't need both.

I’m absolutely furious. I want to write an angry email to 6Music.

The absolute shit some male musicians manage to get away with. At least we know that these moral guardians can draw the line at lady musicians having ethical concerns about the use of unlicensed “medicine” on young children, wouldn’t want them getting ideas and having opinions all the time now would we.

Excellent point. Didn't Boy George appear on Who Do You Think You Are as well? Not that I want to derail into discussing him in depth but he's a strong example of how the double standards are beyond belief.
