I reckon Laura must cry herself to sleep regularly at sharing a surname with a JKR character.

She must feel like no amount of showers can remove the stench of...her love for a transphobic artist.

The 'campaign' (I won't dignify it with that word, without a very strong pair of inverted commas) against Roisin - which is predicated on some nasty pieces-of-work abusing her privacy - has about a D- for crediibility, when it comes to taking a moral high-ground. And yet these people still think they're superior to us ?

Anyway, back to the mater-at-hand :

Our friend RevUlsion is travelling to the tip-of-the-spear here - there may be 'an incident' , as the people we're talking about like to 'demonstrate' and disrupt meetings and events.

For example, you get feminists trying to have a meeting, or even just some gay women having a drink and checking each other out - speed-dating (how 00's !) - without anyone else there (i.e. men) you'll tend to get 'A Public Scene'.

So we need to keep an eye on how that pans out.

If nothing else, all this ridiculousness has introduced me to Roisin Murphy..I knew of her of course, but not her music. Been playing You Knew on Alexa all day!

Thing is, Roisin's statement on the back of what was alleged about her makes it clear that she's not interested in being their property.

People of a certain generation seem able to understand that, whilst maintaining the idea that they have their Homobloc gig and what-have-you and it's their night. I've never been and I'll never go, either. Fair do's, it's theirs.

I've met guys at the show who were relieved that she still had a broad-based and integrated audience - whilst insisting on their personal reasons for being there. Everyone's got their personal reasons for being there, so far so good.

Certain individuals are now on my radar. Should've just DM'd her, lads.

No, I don't think that's it. Her Twitter account suggests she's a true believer.

I get the impression that the people I'm thinking of do not want Roisin to have actual women there...

She's a mother, there's women there, in the audience, who have children of their own. NO ! They have to be marginalised in some way - Karens ? TERFs ? Find something that'll stick !

I can't help thinking this is where certain people began to get up her nose. It's like Stanley Baxter or Danny La Rue, saying their better at being women, somehow, than actual, physical, women ?

I can't get over the moral turpitude of these people. How can any sane, decent person justify giving harmful puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones to children, if they have any idea what the consequences are?I It amazes me that she is both so lacking in any kind of moral capacity that, not only does she give her support to something unequivocally evil, she has the nerve to attack as immoral someone who is trying to protect children from harm.

I suppose what I can't grasp is why these people think they're right, when they're so obviously wrong. I feel like they ought to at least admit they're bad people, and that they just don't care about kids being harmed.

They were too young for the Stonewall Riots. Their political consciousness is channelled thru Greta, George Floyd, and the big one, trans liberation. Medicalised teens are friendly fire casualties, roadkill, "you gotta crack a few eggs to make an omlette", and lost women's rights are just Helens who refused to budge up to accommodate.

Well, yeah. But hurting children? Surely we can all agree that that's a bad thing?
