When Genevieve Gluck was discussing her investigations with Glinner, she had some interesting speculations as to why there is a concerted effort to disdain and attack the viewpoint of lesbians and feminists. Gluck argues that previous attempts (1970s to 1990s) to normalise various paraphilia and to remove the age of consent by forced teaming these campaigns with gay rights etc. were successfully halted by actions from women, feminists, and particularly lesbians who spoke up about their concerns, especially around safeguarding.

There seems to be a recrudescence of concerted action to normalise these ambitions again. Gluck comments on the strategy of the pre-emptive attack on feminists and lesbian by ostracising them and "slandering them as TERFs from the start"…

Let’s not remember that Tatchell also supported keeping an under age bride (married at 14 with children born soon after) with her adult Turkish husband because ‘young love’.

And that Tatchell supports teenaged girls watching porn to learn sex. That porn does no harm to any child.

He also advocates that older children in schools should be taught in compulsory sex ed lessons by adults how to give and receive sexual pleasure.
He evidently has no idea of the dynamics of classrooms, the extent of differences between individual children & groups, the nature of sexual harassment & abuse, or anything relating to child development / psychology. Let alone concepts of boundaries and consent. But he is determined that this is how children should be taught about sex.

Remember this is a man with an organisation dedicated to going into schools to talk about sex to children and some schools pay him for this advice.

Some of us have been quite mystified about the constant media presence and popularity of PT since, and in spite of, the advent and subsequent fall from grace of PIE. Some people seem to be teflon coated. Or, perhaps they have information about enough people in high places to remain high profile, "go to spokespeople" on all things LGBTQA+++.
