'Do you ever discuss a topic and think: ‘I’d love to hear that on Woman’s Hour’? Well, here’s your chance! Listener Week is coming up & we'd like to hear from YOU! Whether it's personal stories or guest suggestions, let us know what you want to hear'

The comments are interesting, but clearly all the many women commenting are not the right kind of women for Womans Hour.

That's brilliant! So happy for her.

EdithStourton · 30/07/2023 22:03

JKR
Kathleen Stock
Sharron Davis
Julie Bindel
Helen Joyce
The Baroness
etc
etc

All the wrongthinkers, basically.

You dont have to be on twitter - the email is [email protected] Put Womens Hour as the subject and any names you care to mention. Kellie Jean Keen, the 13 year old American girl detransitioner and the Canadian who wishes to be euthanised are all possible. What was the name of the Irish girl who read the poem I am not a dress - found it, Brandubh.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 30/07/2023 22:12

Cool, thanks @anyolddinosaur

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 30/07/2023 22:21

I'm going to suggest The Baroness, for steely clarity.

Almost all of the responses on twitter are asking for Helen Joyce or similar women's rights spokesperson. They are asking for discussion on everything that the trans ideology has brought about. Amazing to see so many people asking for the same thing.

Oh, fab, thank you.

I will send a wee list.

If Woman's Hour had existed in the 70s, would the Dylan Mulvaney option have been replaced by Dick Emery or Danny La Rue?

JanesLittleGirl · 30/07/2023 22:53

I would nominate:
RMW
LOJ
Stella Creasey
Wes Streeting
India Willoughby

But only if the BBC provided a serious interviewer.

Chrisp63 · 30/07/2023 22:57

Personally I would love to hear from Helen Joyce Maya JKR or Rosie Duffield?

CriticalCondition · 30/07/2023 23:05

You can also contact WH on WhatsApp on 03700 100 444.

I may have nominated Helen Joyce. 😁

RealityFan · 30/07/2023 23:08

I've got three nominations
Helen Joyce, Helen Joyce, and, um...

IcakethereforeIam · 30/07/2023 23:10

...Helen Joyce?

AlisonDonut · 30/07/2023 23:12

I could listen to Helen for hours and frequently do. She never gets tongue tied or mixes up sex and gender or trans girls with boys. She corrects people pleasantly and is always on point.

I'd love to hear Jenni Murray on as a guest. I spent years listening to her and have not listened in so long since I wanted to throw the radio out the window. Bit meta though.

ACatCalledPushka · 30/07/2023 23:13

Maybe we should just send Women’s Hour a link to this thread.

IcakethereforeIam · 30/07/2023 23:15

Elaine Miller aka Gussie Gripper (I hope I've got her name right).

ArabeIIaScott · 30/07/2023 23:18

I notice Helen Joyce is trending on Twitter rn.

...Helen Joyce?

You know me so well.
I'd love to know how many vote for Dear Dylan.

IGoWalkingAfterMidnight · 30/07/2023 23:20

Has anyone nominated Doc Stock? She's rather awesome too!

Elaine Miller aka Gussie Gripper (I hope I've got her name right).

She’s doing 2 dates at Edinburgh fringe. One has sold out. Pelvic floors would be great for radio. Tweet with link

Isn't it great that there are so many women we can recommend. With the added bonus of lots of articulate men also speaking out.
And that twitter thread in the op is a joy to read. Funnily enough Helen Joyce's name is mentioned a lot 😂
