We're keeping an eye on this...

From the transgenderuk subreddit today.

I’m sure I remember reading (years ago) the Baker never actually wanted to transfer to the female estate because Baker is homosexual and the male estate provided the potential for sexual partners?

Seems that now that Baker is a new style transactivist, the female estate is preferred?

Can anyone recall where I might’ve read that? Possibly from an article at the time that Baker was on the IOW at HMP Parkhurst…

How many days can a person survive without liquids? Is it five days?

IcakethereforeIam · 20/08/2023 10:30

He might be capable of doing it. He's demonstrated he's willing and able to commit pretty extreme violence against himself and others. I don't think he'd make a particularly compelling martyr for the trans cause though.

I'm not completely heartless though, I'll break out my violin 🎻(actual size)

How long can the average person go without food?

A typical, well-nourished male weighing 70 kilograms (154 pounds) technically has enough calories stored to survive for between 1 and 3 months

However, people who have voluntarily stopped eating to participate in hunger strikes have died after 45–61 days, which suggests that a person would be unlikely to survive for 3 months.

How long can you go without water?

As with food, it is hard to say exactly how long people can survive without water. While a fit adult might last a few days, a child whom a parent or caregiver has left in a hot car could dehydrate and die within hours.

The precise length of time for which a person could survive varies due to differences in individual body composition.

The body needs a continual supply of water to repair and maintain cells and carry out essential processes.

So without fluids it should be all over by Wednesday tea time ish.

Well sjb can have whatever hissy fit that sjb wants as sjb didn't meet the old loose criteria for transfer to a woman's prison and sjb has further displayed sjb's violent nature and the threat that sjb posses to women (latest 2 charges) and as such has become the poster person for why these men should not be in women's prisons

"denied access to female clothes"... poor love, my heart bleeds.

mrshoho · 20/08/2023 11:48

Do regular women get given women's clothes in prison?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 20/08/2023 12:50

What are "female clothes"?

PonyPatter44 · 20/08/2023 12:57

Women in prison don't wear prison clothing, they are always allowed to wear their own clothes. So, anything is "female clothes"....but I assume for SJB's purposes "female clothes" are pink, frilly, tight and /or revealing. Because that's all us wimmin wear, innit (looks shiftily at today's black t-shirt and spotty trousers).

Yes, definitely what I normally wear.

Looks at the pyjamas I've been wearing since at least Friday night!

And even if i wasnt being a slovenly sloth I'd either be in jogging bottoms or jeans with a t-shirt that may or may not (most definitely may) have some unremovable strain down the front and various holes.

So I'm guessing (especially as all bar my jeans are purchased out of the menswear department of Sainsbury's) technically he is wearing women's clothing.

DialSquare · 20/08/2023 13:26

I might go on hunger strike as a protest to keep him out of the female estate. With my stores, I'll outlast him by months.

mrshoho · 20/08/2023 13:26

Pink leggings anyone?

ColinTheGenderMinotaur · 20/08/2023 13:26

I have a great line in skateboard brand T shirts that my young adult son has outgrown/discarded over the last ten years.
I cut all the sleeves off. I hate sleeves.

TBF SJB’s idea of ‘female clothing’ seems to a be a natty red beret, a chazza shop fun fur and a pink slogan shirt that may or may not read ‘I ❤️ Porn’

Well for sure they should ask their friends to bring in some naice clothes to wear. If that's really the problem, it has a solution.

As for violent male criminal sentenced to life imprisonment, released under license, breached conditions, back in jail. Science cannot currently assemble a violin small enough to express the magnitude of my sympathy. They can stay in jail forever, as far as I'm concerned.

I'm in the baggiest trousers I could find, with accidental bleach marks on them, which makes them kind of painterly looking. Baggy t-shirt full of small holes. About to put on boots and go into the garden. Am I now male?

Britinme · 20/08/2023 13:51

Rules must be different regarding prison clothes in the UK. They are different in different states in the US. In mine, the women have a uniform of blue jeans and a plain T shirt or blue shirt with buttons, and a sweatshirt for colder weather, plus a jacket for outside wear.

nods wisely.

TWETMIRF · 20/08/2023 14:07

I don't do pyjamas but I am still in my dressing gown. It's possible that I may be arsed at some point today but I doubt it

Britinme · 20/08/2023 14:08

I'm in my nightie. On the other hand I'm still in bed (it's only just gone 9am here but I guess I will get up at some point).
