So I can’t believe this is real but it seems to be.
What do we make of Jo’s cervical trust a cancer charity who has an LGBT inclusive language page on their website suggesting another word for a vagina is a bonus
hole!!

Absolutely awful.

How ironic that they bleat about how important it is to use the correct language about someone's gender, and then use vile, made up terms to refer to a woman's anatomy.

I’m really done with this stuff. It’s a men’s rights movement and I’m done with being kind.

I was part of the be kind set probably up until the Isla Bryson outrage. Although I had a few doubts I couldn’t put my finger on I would still have classed myself in the ‘be kind’ camp.

I now see it for what it is - blatant misogyny with a be kind hashtag. If we don’t let males into our spaces we’re ‘bigots and transphobic.’ If promoting (natal) women’s rights is transphobic then surely promoting ‘trans rights’ is at the detriment of natal women’s legal sex-based rights and is therefore misogynistic.

So glad I found this board (though Mumsnet - who should be fighting for women’s rights - kind of put this board in the naughty corner and fails to stand up for natal women with its censorship of our valid concerns and views).

Yep Isla Bryson & Barbie Kardashian put the kabosh in be kind..

@TriquetraVisions the tide is definitely turning. More & more women are spotted carefully worded texts like this one that actively seeks to erase women & calls it out. Charities are jumping on the transgender wagon at the moment eg the Irish neurodiversity charities... What's behind it all?

I saw a glossary a couple of years ago. A woman's vagina had been re-named "front hole" and a transwoman's fabricated hole had been named "vagina".

Bizarre. If this is a cervical cancer charity, why use such inaccurate language about the exact part of the body that needs investigating for cervical cancer. And if a "trans-man" is found to have cervical cancer, then what does the doctor call the cancer? What's the trans-pretend word for cervix? internal man-pocket? Internal man-pocket cancer? 🤐

I don't like the phrase, but trans men (women) may sometimes refer to the vagina as a front hole / bonus hole.

I think all women (including trans men) should be supported to get proper cervical cancer care when they need it. If that means a very small subset of women need to use terms like "bonus hole" then so be it as far as I'm concerned.

@Flickersy with all due respect that's bullshit. The term is vaginas. All women have vaginas & cervixes. It doesn't matter what it's called if you have one you are a woman.
Men have penises, if you don't have one you cannot be a man, a "bonus hole" wtf along with a cervix makes one a woman!

I know it's a vagina.

Most likely the vast majority of people know that too.

But trans men may not feel comfortable using the word and would rather use something else. And when they're talking about their own bodies that's their prerogative.
