The forced teaming is becoming increasingly ridiculous and offensive.

I'm autistic. I don't like even being put in a group with different ND conditions. Adding trans to the mix makes no logical sense.
If my autism were merely an identity, I wouldn't have been unemployed my whole life, needing professional support just to fulfill everyday tasks like buying food, paying bills, making phone calls etc.
Why would I choose to opt into a condition which means I am 9 times more likely to die by suicide than the general population?
That means I am continually having to choose between socially exhausting overwhelm and soul-crushing loneliness?
It's not a game. It's not a costume. And it's not a choice.

It's because if they can take over as the most ND of ND, the best ND of all ND, the ones killing it as ND, then they can demand whatever it is they want access to with a claim for it being a reasonable adjustment.

This may or may not include demands for particular schools to be named on EHCPs - an all girls' school for a transage furry masc presenting enby in his twenties, plus treatment funded by the school instead of having to wait for the NHS, perhaps? The argument that it's an educational need to have surgery? Access to supported living? Benefits?

They're bored with women's spaces, got those, no challenge in it now - and it's probably not so much fun when they're not the only one in the changing room. Time to head for somewhere else.

Yes & they have women's spaces conquered now time to target the school's & children. Not just any children, the ND ones under the guise of ND support groups . It's all so obvious why isn't it being challenged?

We can't respect Autistic identities without respecting LGBT+ identities.

🤔

They can fuck right off. My disability is not an “identity”. Being disabled is in no way the same as being gay or trans.

Slothtoes · 28/06/2023 08:46

This 100%. This is what happens when any sacred caste is allowed to call the shots and it must all be unquestioned. Safeguarding is dismantled which is a green light for any bad actors and then vulnerable children are made even more vulnerable.

Lightningstrikess · 28/06/2023 09:03

@Slothtoes if you look over the social media posts of those support groups, you'll see they all only started posting about the T very recently.
Where are parents supposed to go for support for their ND kids now? There is nowhere short of home support & homeschooling.

RocketPanda · 28/06/2023 09:09

@Lightningstrikess I am in Ireland, in the west where we've had nothing but scandal after scandal with CAMHS, school places, waiting lists etc on a much bigger scale than the Leinster counties. Parents are angry. Very very angry and they are surviving beyond their limits and are not going to pander to this.

Zodfa · 28/06/2023 09:13

I'm autistic. I don't like even being put in a group with different ND conditions.

And even different autistic people vary widely. I know loud, talkative autistic people who are a complete sensory nightmare for some quieter types. There's no natural "community" even here.

Lightningstrikess · 28/06/2023 09:14

@RocketPanda I'm in Leinster, my dc are NT & I still worry so much about them being captured. Many of my friends & family have ND children. They need support. This is actually outrageous & such a sudden move by these groups. Did you see the ASIAM tweet linked above with the webinar about autism & trans? It doesn't seem to have had much uptake as they kept posting for parents to register to it. The comments are gold under the tweet.

RocketPanda · 28/06/2023 09:29

I've always been a bit sceptical of ASIAM. Part of me wonders if it's all a bit convenient.
Doesn't he have a brother in government?

Lightningstrikess · 28/06/2023 09:32

@RocketPanda Im not too familiar with their background but they're the biggest ND support group in Ireland. Why have they gone down this road?
They have effectively alienated thousands of ND children, adults & parents who do not want to be linked with a group that promotes T & links it with their disability. Being ND is not an identity it's a disability.

RocketPanda · 28/06/2023 09:48

Adam Harris is the CEO of ASIAM. His brother is Simon Harris.

Lightningstrikess · 28/06/2023 09:56

@RocketPanda the plot thickens. Simon Harris is Minister for further & higher education... This agenda needs to be kept out of schools but it's obvious now who the targets are..

This has already been done to lesbians who won't at least convincingly say they will sex men on command if the man states inner identity.

The ones who won't comply and obediently shout/enact the TQ+ ideology are pushed out of the group altogether, and then the group is claimed to be entirely representative of TQ+ ideology 'look everyone gay who's left says we're right and supports us!'

Colonisation tactics. A long British tradition of it that the TQ+ lobby seem to passionately believe in.

Lightningstrikess · 28/06/2023 10:04

It's shocking that the agenda is crystal clear, spelt out for us but nothing is being done to halt it.. They are absolutely coming for the children.
I know from older nieces that teens & tweens are becoming very gc, pronouns seen as unfashionable etc.. Look at the two girls in Rye for example taping the teachers nonsense.
Is this why they are honing in now on the ND kids as they can no longer capture other kids?

Slothtoes · 28/06/2023 10:25

We’ve been saying that the fashion cycle aspect of this has to move on at some point so some kids will be immune because for a few years it will be so uncool. However ND kids who often have a very strong sense of justice and fairness and great empathy will be still available to exploit which makes this particularly worrying.

Lightningstrikess · 28/06/2023 10:31

@Slothtoes particularly when they are attending these services.

Lightningstrikess · 28/06/2023 10:32

@Slothtoes im going to pm you if that's OK?

This coment from that Twitter thread stopped me in my tracks. Alarmist maybe, but you can certainly follow the train of thought.

I don't think it's that alarmist.

Anyone who has done safeguarding training knows disabled kids are more likely to be victims of abuse.

MoltenLasagne · 28/06/2023 11:38

Why are all these charities suddenly switching their missions to be about supporting trans identities? Money is tight enough as it is providing limited support to desperate families, why are they diverting funds into completely unconnected issues?

Lightningstrikess · 28/06/2023 11:39

Did you see who did that ASIAM webinar on the link they are stating between trans & autism ? It wasn't a psychologist who has reams of analysis done it was a TRA who is also a transmsan.. I had a look on this person's twitter to see if there is medical qualifications as to ascertain why ASIAM thought this person was qualified to host this webinar. You can all decide for yourselves!

Maybe this is it - is there a money stream for trans projects that they can tap into?

Lightningstrikess · 28/06/2023 11:53

Or have they conquered womens spaces, toilets & prisons. Schools are next?

Purple I'm afraid you may be right.

I recently joined a support group for parents and carers of ND children.
Very small, new, local group.

One of the member-organisers made a post with the title 'Did you know ND children are more likely to be trans?', with a brief comment about how we all need to be extra kind to those kids.

I was itching to remind members that correlation and causation are not the same, and to be careful when choosing which organisations you take your advice from. But I knew this person works in ED&I, plus the place where the group meets is draped in All The Flags. And I mean All - I've not idea what some of them even mean.

No other comments were posted, just a few likes. But I confess that I am extremly apprehensive to bring this up among a small group of strangers I meet in person every few weeks. Obviously, if the topic is brought up again, I'll have to say something. As this thread demonstrates.

Lightningstrikess · 28/06/2023 12:23

This agenda seems to be pushed so suddenly & at the same time by many of the ND support groups
