The forced teaming is becoming increasingly ridiculous and offensive.

unfortunately, I know some ND people on facebook etc that are very much into this teaming and think that it's a great thing that it's now acknowledged. They are totally into TWAW and 'trans rights' and people being allowed to identify as they want etc, and think that the fact that it's found more commonly in ND people means that it's really important to be extra kind and understanding and go out of their way to support trans people and make sure that any children who are possibly questioning things get affirmed, because ND people are otherwise likely to be ignored or find it hard to advocate for their rights. There seems to be no consideration AT ALL of the fact that the ND might be causing the gender confusion, or with difficulties fitting in/identity.

LonginesPrime · 27/06/2023 18:10

Does this mean that I'm not autistic any more if I don't believe in gender ideology, then?

First they cure me of my lesbianism and now they've cured me of my autism too - gender ideology is truly magical.

OldGardinia · 27/06/2023 18:12

No T without the BS.

What is this part of the Twitter deed about?

Jeez, that reply from AUsome training is so shitty and aggressive:

why don't you know what neuro-affirming means?

Why do you think Autistic isn't a type of human?

Why do you think Autistics don't deserve equal rights and to live long happy lives?

Why don't you know this? Don't you care about Autistic and LGBTQ+ lives ?

They don't sound like they should be training anyone on anything - what an awful attitude to someone who asked a perfectly reasonable question.

CastleTurrets · 27/06/2023 18:33

Interesting to read this madness.

As a person with autism my brain is hard wired on logic.

I can't watch debates with India Willoughby etc as I get so enraged with his nonsense "I'm a biological woman" etc as he is obviously not.

I couldn't care less how people choose to live their lives however I'm not willing to buy into delusions and call men women or vice versa. People cannot change their sex end of.

I just wish this whole gender ideology would end.

Giselletheunicorn · 27/06/2023 18:37

Fuck that, fuck that, fuck that.

As the parent of a highly vulnerable ND child, I'll march down Whitehall naked before I'll allow my kid within a mile of extreme TRA nut jobs.

with you 100% Giselle

Sorry to burst your bubble, but if you have any kind of NHS or LA support, you're probably already surrounded.

@Giselletheunicorn it's shocking that this group is advocating for very vulnerable neurodiverse children.. What exactly is their motive🤔 I think many parents with ND children will be seeking support elsewhere.

OhWhatMerryHellIsThis · 27/06/2023 19:08

The original image seems to have come from AUsome Training https://ausometraining.com/

The entire website looks like Mermaids for autism. Lots of mention of inclusion, identifying, affirming etc etc.

I can't find any actual autism experts referenced - it appears to be a money-making exercise using autistic people to educate everyone else. Which, in theory, might be a good thing. But I'm suspicious Hmm

AUsome Autism Training | Challenging your thinking on autism

AUsome Autism Training puts Autistic people at the very centre of our training. It provides up to date autism training from Autistic,,,

What is this part of the Twitter deed about?

I think the original meme or whatever it is was created by Ausome. Then ND Ireland took Ausome’s meme thing and added their own logo to it. Then tweeted it.

Ausome then asked ND Ireland to remove the ND Ireland logo from the Ausome meme thing. Copyright issue, presumably.

Lightningstrikess · 27/06/2023 19:22

@OhWhatMerryHellIsThis is this an Irish group also?

Pixiedust1234 · 27/06/2023 19:35

We can't respect Autistic identities without respecting LGBT+ identities.

🤔

BluebellBlueballs · 27/06/2023 19:38

Well, I'm neurodiverse so they can have the T
T for TERF!!

RedToothBrush · 27/06/2023 19:38

PucketyPuckPuck · 27/06/2023 10:26

It makes as much sense as 'no LGB without T'. Ie, none.

I think this is a good thing. The more ridiculous it gets the better.

No renters without the T!
No communism without the T!
No accountancy without the T!
No depression without the T!

The possibilities are literally endless. I hope whatever tool started this takes it all the way, peaking thousands as they go.

No Rapists without the T I think is the SNP policy...

SquirrelSoShiny · 27/06/2023 19:47

NeverDropYourMooncup · 27/06/2023 17:58

So they want neurodiverse people to be sterilised before they've even had a chance to come to term with themselves and where they fit into adult life?

My ASD is saying FUCK OFF.

My ADHD is saying FUCK OFF YOU PERVY CUNTS AND LEAVE CHILDREN ALONE.

Sorry this really made me laugh 😂 and I get the serious point at the start but yes to the ADHD desire to just blurt out the truth 😄

OhWhatMerryHellIsThis · 27/06/2023 20:37

Lightningstrikess · 27/06/2023 19:22

@OhWhatMerryHellIsThis is this an Irish group also?

It seems to be Irish, based in Cork. I thought I was pretty knowledgeable about autism groups, but I've never heard of this lot. Their training looks pretty expensive, and they appear to be trying to charge money for families to join - to me the entire thing looks very questionable.

In particular their "shop" page, full of "NEURODIVERSITY-AFFIRMING PRODUCTS". And their "our story" bit, which is all about how delighted they all were to discover they are autistic Hmm and how wonderful being autistic is, which much be a bit of a kick in the teeth for parents of profoundly autistic, non-verbal and struggling children.

Trouble is , there is so little actual support for families, and waiting lists are so very long, people are desperate for help. And a new shiny, colourful, optimistic group of lovely autistic people who are just there to help, if you only sign a couple of cheques .....

I dunno, I'm not impressed (but I will research further).

WomenShouldStillWinWomensSports · 27/06/2023 12:13

It's all the same in that it's all bollocks.

Yeah the bolleaux is too obvious with the furry/ animal lot or whatever their known as.

Tras don't want people assuming they're the same which proves they know transgender is all bollocks too

No debate = I've got a shite argument

Faffertea · 27/06/2023 21:07

They can FUCK RIGHT OFF.

And @Giselletheunicorn I’ll be walking next to you!

10 year old DS diagnosed 6 weeks ago. Still worried about telling people because he’s worried they will judge him.

But now he knows the reason he struggles with things his classmates just get is because he’s autistic not because he’s stupid (and hasn’t said ‘I’m stupid. I hate myself’ for the last month) I’ll be fucked if I let TRAs tell him he’s anything other than his awesome self.

Lightningstrikess · 27/06/2023 21:30

BluebellBlueballs · 27/06/2023 20:59

Yes the TRAs are going ballistic with the comparisons of people identifying as animals.. Like really if a boy can identify as a girl then a boy can identify as a cat..
There is no difference both are identifying as things they can never possibly be..
However the boy identifying as a cat will be thought of as "going through a phase" "he'll grow out of it" "he's being creative with his identity"... He's left alone & is living happily as a male after his identity crisis.

BUT
The boy identifying as a girl is given no opportunity to grow out of this phase, he is immediately sent for "support", changing prounouns & nameput on life changing hormones, castrated & was never given a chance to grow out of his creative phase.

This child is part of the next generations "me too" movement.
All the adults & safeguarding groups aided, abbetted & stood by silently.

If this boy wants to retransition is his shunned & excluded from the community that welcomed him with open arms.

Gobbolinothekitchencat · 27/06/2023 21:44

It’s not an autistic identify for pity’s sake. There are no affirming drugs or surgeries. Absolutely pathetic.

And I thought the cool kids said neuro-spicy these days?

Can’t people all just get on with life and stop trying to make them selves by colonising other people’s struggles, autism is not a dress you pop on to be out there anymore than sparkly eye-shadow makes you a women or gives you gender dysphoria.

There does seem to be an overlap between autism and transgender but could be extreme masking but who knows nobody can study it. Equally the rigidity of thinking in autism is not a good bedfellow for accepting self-identity.

But they can get stuffed with their affirming autistic identities , what’s next hearing impaired identified? MS identified?

TheSilveryPussycat · 27/06/2023 21:49

Chilling, isn't it, that TRAs fear genocide yet support procedures that mean reproductive ability is lost. Also, is there any demand by them to get round this by demanding gamete storage?

OldGardinia · 27/06/2023 23:22

I was banned from Twitter for saying gender dysphoria correlates with autism. Now the Trans lobby is attacking people for saying "Neuro-diverse" can be separated from Trans.

There's no consistency ever. Only expediency and power.

The leaders of the Western world are driving us all to Hell and none of us can organise to stop them because they have us all too busy arguing about pronouns and identifying as cats. US national debt has risen to $32trn and over half the dollars in existence were printed in the last ten years. The US economy is only staying upright because of massive borrowing and some help from sanctions on Russia causing European energy prices to skyrocket (which causes money and industry to flee to the USA). When the dollar pops, Western economies are going to be in crisis. Interest rates in the UK keep going up and maybe they'll return to historical levels of 14% or more as they used to be back in the 80's - which would lead to massive foreclosures and consequent massive govt. intervention. The EU is bringing in more and more laws about what you're allowed to read and Germany is seriously considering banning a political party with 20% of the electorate's support. Govts. are outsourcing vital health controls to unelected bodies and making that legally binding right now. And do people not realise how close we are to World War III right now with the West supplying its proxies in Ukraine with long-range missiles that can target Moscow or Crimea? As many refugees from Crimea have fled into Russia as into the West, it's a civil war since 2014 but if you read Western media suddenly last year Putler decided to invade out of nowhere and it's "Ukraine vs. Russia" rather than "Western Ukranians vs. Eastern Ukranians and Russians". Boris Johnson quite arguably caused the war to continue rather than the peace deal Turkey had worked out. The public at large continue to focus on a culture war. What will be the big factor in who we vote for at the next General Election? The economy? Rolling back state overreach? Or will it be which party supports Drag Queen Story Hour and which opposes it?

This is what Identity Politics is all about. This is why you can't open the BBC website or any mainstream publication without getting hit over the head with it repeatedly. Keep everybody fighting. Throw in some groups that have absurd, utterly anti-scientific beliefs but give them enough state backing that they have to be actively opposed rather than just ignored. Perfect recipe for lack of organised opposition whilst the World continues on its roller-coaster ride to economic depression, energy rationing, war, authoritarianism and a surveillance state unprecedented in history. We'll be arguing over the pronouns from our pods as we eat our bug burgers at this rate.
